I've been investigated by the Secret Service for counterfeiting. I believe I posted the story back on the huddle but it was a few years ago.

lol.

Long story short, when I bought my wife's engagement ring I paid for part of it in cash. There were only two cash transactions at the jewelry store that day and someone passed counterfeit bills. There was a long, drawn-out investigation that included a few interviews and a polygraph test. After a few months I just had to give them a written statement and everything was done. Never found out if I was the one that passed the bills or not.

I have actually saved two people's lives.

Applied first aid to a woman who crashed her car and was bleeding profusely.

Performed the Heimlich on a choking guy who was really blue.

It's funny now and a cool story to have but it was extremely annoying while the investigation was going on.

The polygraph test was ridiculous. The two agents that I spent most of the time with were pretty cool, one was a chick and she was pretty hot. Another dude came in to administer the polygraph and he was a total dick. He did this whole spiel on how once you learn the diference between right and wrong you cannot lie, not even once, without being a dirty liar the rest of your life. I was like, seriously? I learned right from wrong before kindergarten and lied like crazy in high school in order to get out of trouble. That doesn't make me a liar and a counterfeiter, douche.

I did not receive a grade lower than an A until my freshman year of high school.

I came about three feet from dying when I was a junior in high school.

Story?

I came within a few feet of being crushed by a truck when I was 5. Truck lost control, I was thrown through the windshield into a field next to the road, and the truck started rolling towards me as a was laying there. If it would have rolled once more I would have probably been a goner.

I know I am going to sound like some of the people who make threads about bad cops everyday, but I actually got my ass kicked by a couple cops the summer after my senior year in high school. Before I get into what happened, let me state for the record I respect police officers and generally always want to give them the benefit of the doubt. I realize the dangers inherent to their duties and that their lives are on the line every single moment. If you have notice, I typically always laugh at those who go on these anti-police rants here. That being said:

I have mentioned before my dad was in the Air Force. I worked a job at the Base Exchange (BX in the Air Force/PX for those in the Army). All the employees were required to come at 5am one morning to take inventory of the store. I lived less than 3/4 mile from the BX so I simply walked. Apparently I walked by the house of some woman who claimed a guy was stalking her. A couple squad cars ascending on me rather quickly. I clearly remember another guy who was on foot coming from beside me yelling at me to stop. I didn't say a word and stopped in my tracks. The next thing I remember is being picked up and thrown on the hood of a car. They gave me a little of their measure of justice for a while... it seemed to last about an hour but I am guessing it was for only a few minutes. I got busted up pretty good; a broken nose, bruised ribs and a black eye. Another cruiser showed up and put a stop to the madness. I don't know exactly what went down but I remember another police man asking the others what they hell they thought they were doing. What we learned later was the officers involved thought I fit the description of the guy they were looking for. In the subsequent investigation we learned of the suspect's description and it did not fit me at all. The suspect was listed at 5'6, approximately 140 pound blond male. At the time I was 6'2 and weighed 190 lbs---- jet black hair. We also learned later that the woman being stalked was the wife of one of the police officers.

A couple of the policemen were discharged from the military.

I was coming home from a golf tournament my junior year and it had started raining pretty bad. I was getting on to the highway and as I was merging, I started to hydroplane and didn't realize it. I turned the wheel a little, caught a dry spot, and started spinning. I did a 180, and started sliding sideways across 3 lanes of traffic facing the wrong way. Got across without incident and thought I was clear until I kept going. I slid sideways down a 15-20 foot hill and came to rest three feet from the other lanes of traffic at the bottom of the hill. As I came to a stop, a semi came flying by. Had my car not stopped that short, the semi would have absolutely crushed me. No way I would have made it out of that one.

I sort of was a couple years ago as well. I sold a set of golf clubs for $400 to a buddy and he paid in cash, all hundreds. I went to the bank drive thru to deposit the money and after a longer than normal wait, the tell came back to the window and told me there was a problem with one of the bills and asked where I got it and who I got it from, because it didn't appear to be legit. I was pissed/scared at the same time, because I wasn't sure if I could be in any kind of trouble for trying to pass counterfeit money. The lady said they'd have to forward it to the FBI for testing and she said the branch would be in contact with me after the investigation was complete. Couple weeks later I got a call saying it was fine.

I got a B+ in honors english my senior year, only non A of my pre college days. Sad thing is the teacher was my girlfriend's (who I had been dating or whatever for 3 years) mom. I literally didn't do any reading for the class but managed to get by on Cliff's notes.

I sure was, but the side effects were too much, and that stuff was so damn expensive to have shipped over from Europe (a buddy and I split the cost and the shipment ... was pretty easy to buy online back in the early 2000s).
