I climbed down a dangerous embankment and pulled a girl who couldnt swim from a river on a class trip when I was 12. Some teachers sent for me to help and I responded, not knowing my name was similar to a camp counselor whom they were actually looking for. The next day I was recognized over my junior school intercom.

When I was 27, I got meningitis and spent eight days in the hospital; losing 25 lbs in those eight days.
