Look how well the "pieces" did to back up an epic game by LeBron. Once again, the Celtics were the better team.

Yeah, they did. And this year when they lost to the Heat, I was still wrong. The Lakers were the team who collapse sort of how I saw the Celtics going out. I give them credit for that, a much classier bunch than I had pictured. I figured they'd go out like Bynum.

Why didnt that defensive strategy stop him from going off for the rest of the series?

I understand you're a Bron fan but the guy wasnt himself in game 5. I dont know how anybody could argue otherwise

Did you look at the games I posted for Kobe and Jordan? He had an off game, most definitely. But he only took 15 shots, tried to distribute like he should when he isn't feeling it. No one else had it either. The Celtics were just BETTER. Period. It's not rocket science. Pierce, Allen, Garnett and Rondo were the 4 best players in the series after LeBron. That's 4/5th's of their starting line up. And they had a pretty solid bench. And they had Thibodeau. And the strategy did work the rest of the series, they won didn't they? LeBron didn't shoot great percentages in those games, just like he didn't against the Spurs. When you have a great TEAM, it's easy to game plan to stop one guy. Especially when you have a good defensive team. But great offense beats great defense, so LeBron could score at times. But when you're facing double and triple teams and they're building walls in the paint--other guys have to step up. They didn't. Couple that with a bad game by LeBron and you get game 5. He redeemed HIMSELF in game 6 but didn't get enough help from his teammates and they lost again. Because Boston was the better team.

We will have to disagree on this. It went beyond having a bad game imo, the guy looked totally uninterested. Maybe Delonte did fuck his whore of a mom and he just found out about it. I dont know. I just know that the dude wasnt himself in game 5. Thats the point that I'm trying to make

It was proven that there was no supporting cast with the Cavs play this year. From a talent perspective, excluding Lebron they had the worst in the NBA. And no, that's not me being a troll. How quickly we forget that Jawad Williams was a key player at times a year ago.

Proven? LOL

A lot of the Cavs were hurt this year, and they were in the process of blowing the team up. You can't use this year as proof the Cavs had a poor supporting cast.

How quickly we forget that Delonte West was a key figure for the Celtics playoff run this year, often times looking like one of their best players.

How quickly we forget that Andy was lost pretty early, Shaq, LeBron, and Delonte were no longer with the team...

Mo was hurt off and on for a good portion until he was traded.

Fact is, that team was built around LeBron. My god, you take LeBron off the current Heat team and they suck ass too. You take Dwight Howard off the Magic and they suck, etc...

Exactly...

I didn't even mention Antawn, who was averaging 17 PPG and went out with an injury as well.

It seems like everybody on the roster missed time due to injuries this year.

Last years team wasnt starting guys like Ryan Hollins, Alonzo Gee, Manny Harris, Samardo Samuels etc....

No kidding. Almost EVERY talking head in the NBA said the Cavs were the "deepest in the league." They exit against Boston and "the supporting cast was shit." Lebron needs to take A LOT of the heat for quitting in game 5 but you'll NEVER hear the nuthuggers EVER admit to anything like that.

He should take a ton of heat, but he bounced back and had 27, 19 boards and 10 assists along with 9 turnovers in game 6, the problem is that no one else stepped up at all. Jamison was a no show, Mo had like 1 good game all series and no one else made shots. You can't expect effort players like Varejao to put up huge numbers, that's not who they are as players. The problem with the Cavs is that they had no one other than Lebron to make a play, their whole offense was predicated on Lebrons shot and play making and Mike Brown made no adjustments during the series.

Things get exposed guys, in most cases, in sports you don't find out you were wrong until you lose. They were exposed, overrated, not as good as everyone thought. LeBron haters want to blame it on LeBron, realists see that Boston was just a way better team.

Well he can't have it both ways.

I was apart of the group that preached that Cleveland had the best supporting cast around LeBron, especially after getting Jamison.

Nobody was exposed. I still believe that Cleveland had the talent to win against Boston, but I sure did notice a lack of intensity and passion across the whole team including the supposed "leader".
