Very pleased with the fundamental soundness of these young guys...big reason for their success.

ugh. I cant stand that shit. Why would you swing at the first pitch after 2 straight walks, and a guy who is rattled and nowhere near the zone?

yes. Thats what you do when you are not gonna make it to second with a guy on 3rd. Phillips was the one who made the biggest mistake. He went home way to early. Even with a good throw, both runners are gonna be safe on that play.

Amazing what a little conversation (from Orlando Cabrera) will do.

Yeah....he did exactly what he was supposed to do when you're trying to steal a run. You get in a rundown.

With even a decent throw to 3rd, he is out...he was 4 or 5 feet from the bag! No way he is safe with a good throw. Phillips didn't make the mistake, he threw the ball accurately to home and put Ramon in a position to throw out the runner, he couldn't make a simple throw to 3rd...there's the mistake.

Maybe, but this what acta and the coaches do....put the pressure on the defense. It has really paid off.

Choo waited WAY too long to break for home. That should have been a double play if their infielders weren't retarded

Wow. Choo hitting like Choo again. Winning with Carrasco on the mound manna fron heaven. Really bad news on White though.
