With the slow start and record low games some may not think so. Not to mention all the extra interest the attendance is given by the media as if the Indians are the only team with low attendance issues.

Another random stat, today is the Indians first sellout since April 1st, 2011 and first non-Opening Day sellout since May 24th, 2008.

My post did not try to rationalize the attendance of those two games.

Not to get in an argument, but to me, this came off as a rationalization:
The Indians will not reach that number again. In part because the Browns are back (somewhat) and the Cavs were (great owner will change that back to ARE in a few years) competing. Throw in the economy and the advent of STO and many peoples hate and disgust for Dolan, they find no reason to go to the game.

That was solely why I believe they won't reach a sellout streak like 455 again. Not why i'm trying to rationalize a crowd of 8000.

A few comments after reading the last 2 pages. I inituially thought the runner should have been called out for running outside of the first base box line. But if the rule sys 3 feet, then running lane is irreleveant for the play that occurred. He was not 3 feet out of the line.

It was a great drag bunt.....drag bunts are harder to beat out....usually a successful drag bunt is hit harder....and towards the second baseman in order to succeed.

Tribe fans need to step it wayyyy up in coming to the ball games. Whether we like Dolan or not, this team is winning....management has done it's job....now it's our turn to show up and root. Dolan will fire sale this team without at bare minimum 2 million in turnstyles.

So far, the team has been committed to make the team a contender THIS YEAR...Alex White is proof of that.

Hats off the Acta for pulling the right strings and playing the highest percentages when making decisions. He out managed Baker. Baker pulled a "Wedgie" in waiting way too long in hooking Wood.

A couple more notes off the cuff. Shin Soo Choo with a really nice catch in the ninth. Not all right fielders pull that ball down. Choo with a clutch 3 bagger preceding Carraro's bunt...or whatever his name is. Another hat tip to our long relief man and to Joe Smith. A key to the game occurred when the Reds has first and 3rd....no outs...already up 4 zip. A pop up...and a gun from Santana cutting down a base stealer helped slam the door. Santana's defense is steadily improving.

The tribe injury woes are annoying to say the least. We need Alex White and Pronk. To a lesser extent, we need Sizemore. We also need a healthy Tomlin and Talbot.

Hope we broom the Reds out of town...we are quite capable of doing just that....even with a light roster.

Hey, here's jordo to down everything Cleveland! What a douche.

The Indians attendance sucked to begin with, but has steadily became very good. Are there ways to rationalize? Why yes, there is. And don't act like Cleveland is the only place poor attendance has been seen this season, and yes, I'm talking under 11k.

Weather, lack of trust in the Dolans, and the belief that the Tribe would be terrible kept attendance way down.

The crowds are there now so it's really a moot point. The only thing that matters is the play on the field and the Tribe is currently the best at the that.

Oh and sucks to see Alex White heading to the DL... But again, we have A LOT of depth thanks to the revamping of our minor league system.

I wasn't off work yet, but I was told it looked like an injured finger on his throwing hand. He felt some pain in it but they left him in and he lost all of his control and they finally took him out.

He threw a pitch and was clearly uncomfortable after. They appeared to be looking at his finger and then left him in. All he could throw was fastballs and even still he couldn't hit his target. Hopefully it is just a blister or something, but he clearly couldn't grip the ball to throw a slider or splitter.

Every time I hear "middle finger injury" and "blister" I get flashbacks of Adam Miller.

Speaking of Adam Miller...He has been pitching very well in Kinston. He had a bad 1st outing, but has been very good since. Keeping fingers crossed...

You could throw it underhand and get him out right now. Complete waste of at bats right now.
