Yes, but as I said earlier in this thread, Ive thought he was top 5 for years now. These playoffs arent so much swaying that, as validating my though process.

I'm not saying that everyone is a sucker for it. And like I said, there has been a case for him being top 5 for years. He's not in mine, but I certainly agreed that there is a solid argument for him.

Yep, I cant belittle anyone who doesnt agree, because really after Wade, LBJ and Kobe...I think the next 2 can go to a number of guys. I just personally love the match-ups Dirk presents and his overall game/skill. He has the same type of game I did when playing (on a MUCH, MUCH smaller scale, lol) so that probably brings some bias as well.

Id go:
1. LBJ
2. Wade
3. Kobe
4. Durant
5. Dirk

Requested self-ban until June 16. According to a quick check, that would be the date of Game 7 of the NBA Finals if it goes that far.

So obviously, it has nothing to do with this site or anything anyone says, but is because of some personal issue. Just like the previous hiatuses.

That is just my opinion, and you could definitely argue that Dirk could be included. "Top 5" is too exact anyway....he's an elite player and thats not even debatable. The thing I like about Dirk is the matchup problems he causes for the opposing team. Put a big on him....he steps out and kills you, put a smaller guy on him, he pulls up right over him or takes it to the rim. He is as close to "unguardable" as you can get.

And that's why I have him in my top 5. I also think that Kobe, Lebron, and Wade can score at will along with Dirk. Other than those 4, I think every other player in the league is guardable to an extent.

Dirk is definitely a top 5 "closer." I'd have him right behind Kobe & D-Wade. Lebron might not even make my top 5 as far as closers go.
