This is why I think he will end up leaving OKC

Can't get on Westbrook for this one boys, did any of you watch the whole game? Durant was 0-8 from 3 and generally horrible. Westbrook is the only reason they stayed in the game, he did have some ugly possessions in the 4th but there is no way he should have been giving the ball up to Durant at that point. He was making a living from the line and was the only one that could consistently get there. Both teams were playing some good defense.

That was an awful game to watch. The refs calling everything OKC's way. Dirk was getting mugged by Collison with no calls. While if any Mav player breathed on any OKC player they went to the line. The final FT discrepancy would have looked a lot worse if they didn't shoot 10 in the last 2 minutes of the game because of OKC intentionally fouling to extend the game.

I'm glad the Mavs came out on top.

And Westbrook has single handily taken Durant out of the playoffs. I watched some of the Memphis series where he just doesn't move the ball and jacks up shots. He's doing it again. When you have arguably a top 5 player and a PG who refuses to get him the ball... there is a problem.

And as for SQ... maybe Durant isn't playing so hot because he can't get into any kind of rhythm with that ball hog.

0-8.

When you're 0-8 from three you've gotten enough shots up to get in rhythm. He just didn't have it and Marion looked like he was 25 again. But I'm not totally taking heat off Westbrook, he's just all they had as far as consistent offense. Trust me, I think Westbook as 2nd team all NBA was a joke. But the Thunder, Durant included, didn't have shit from the opening tip until Westbrook started penetrating in the 4th quarter. He's the only reason they didn't get beat by 20+.

I disagree. Kevin Durant needs his touches, especially down the stretch. I dont really care what the guy has been doing up to that point. Its not as if Westbrooks fg% was that much better, he also had 7 TO's. If I'm the Thunder I make sure that my superstar touches the ball at least once each possession down the stretch. After the Thunder had cut it to 6 with 2:00 mins left in the game their next three trips went

Russel quick 3 (airball)
Cook quick 3 (brick)
Westrbook turnover

That shouldnt happen. You give the ball to your bread and butter and see what the guy can do

Westbrook was the only one who was able to penetrate the defense and get to the line.

11 assists in 3 games as a PG is pathetic. End of story.

When you have more turnovers (15) than assists (11) as the PG in the series, something is wrong. But to be fair the entire OKC team hasn't shared the ball well in this series. They have 47 assists as a team compared to Dallas having 62.

Durant had more turnovers than assists during the regular season, for him to take the next step as a player he has to play better D and become a play maker who makes people better, I remember when people said he would be better than Lebron or Kobe, I don't see it because of these things.

Agreed. That certainly isn't good, but guys have to make shots for you to get an assist too. Trust me, I'm not really defending Westbrook, but the media is trying to splinter his relationship with Durant and I think that's terrible. He's a young player, has some learning to do but that's a great combo and I don't want to see him get destroyed in the press.

Nice foul by Collison. Stay on your feet and play some damn defense

Thats the best shot that OKC could get off with 6 second left? Durant had plenty of time to make a move

Dirk is amazing. I've always been critical of him in "big games" but he's definitely taken that next step.

Ibaka has worked his ASS off on that mid range jumper since last year

Kinda reminds me of how much better Stoudemire's jumper got in just 1 year (not saying its as good as Amare's)

Being a clutch performer in big games. This is the guy who let DWade take him down after going up 2-0. This is the guy who won MVP and was on a pretty good Mavs team that won over 60 games an lost in the first round to an 8 seed...

He's got more toughness in his game.

I have been saying that this whole series...everyone is hating on Westbrook but no one will point out Durant's poor play (by his standards).

I can't believe there are talking sports radio heads in OKC talking about looking to trade Westbrook. The team IS close and it's obvious they need another piece or two and another year of development. This is a team building moment, something that garners you the experience needed.

That would be a fucking bone head move. Hes a special player, whoever got him would be lucking out
