that show was a sinking ship even with sheen on it. might be a blessing to have some forced new storylines

The biggest problem IMO is the show had really run its course. The funny little fat kid grew up to be a boring and annoying fat teen. They'd pretty much run out of story lines for Charlie - the partying stuff had all been done and the direction they were going with him and Rose was looking like a "jump the shark" moment.

+2 on the bolded part. Actually they should consider getting rid of Angus and getting a new little kid on the show; ala many sitcoms in the past inlcuding Different Strokes when Gary Coleman started going through puberty.

Of course, they could just do the right thing and put the series to rest. Time for the other actors on the show to move on with their lives.
