Because he sucks!

Ashton would be good if the show was a romantic comedy, Charlie had an edge to him that made the show stand out.

I think getting him is about as good as they can do. Wont be as good as with Sheen, but it wont be bad by any means.

+1 I like Ashton but he just doesn't fit the show at all.

I think Kutcher will be as good as a replacement for Charlie's character as they could have gotten. On That 70's Show he was basically the teenage version of Charlie Harper. I'm more interested to see what they do with Sheen's character and how they phase Kutcher in. I think it'd be perfect if Kutcher's character turned out to be Charlie's son.

Sorry, but as an actor he does suck. I don't think he has ever been in a good movie, and he wasn't even remotely close to being funny in that 70's show. I never understood how that show survived nearly 10 years.

I liked that 70's show, although Kutcher's character didn't really work for me.

I do wonder how they'd work him in. You obviously can't pretend he's Charllie Harper like nothing happened (like the Aunt Viv switch on Fresh Prince). Being Charlie's illegitimate son is interesting...

The biggest problem IMO is the show had really run its course. The funny little fat kid grew up to be a boring and annoying fat teen. They'd pretty much run out of story lines for Charlie - the partying stuff had all been done and the direction they were going with him and Rose was looking like a "jump the shark" moment.

Kutcher is good for what he is, but this is a bad fit. Wont last very long, imo.

I'll be the only one that says this show WAS running out of story lines and Kutcher will actually make it better in the long run. I'd give the show atleast 3 more years of good ratings.
