Sales tax. It's considered fraud. Ohio does audits all the time and people have to pay fees, penalties and the difference.

Lack of institutional control deals with the athletic department as a whole, not an individual sports. It's hilarious that people don't understand this. USC got hit with institutional control because of violations in football AND basketball.
This is true, but you can get hit with Lack of institutional control from the actions of just one sport/team.

damn, with all the experts on here that "knows somebody who.." or has "a good friend that is close to the situation...", why doesn't the NCAA save itself millions of dollars and just let Ohio Chatter handle the investigation?

Someone should be unemployed.

Agreed. But the dispatch is probably run by notre dame alum so they will just blame it on a bad report.

No kidding. Someone may seriously lose their job for missing this. Talk about a major detail.

There is nothing that says that is what he paid, all they have is a title with that # on it..... tax fraud.

I dunno why none of the news outlets won't report that.... oh yeah, makes it less of a story

The car had been in an accident, significantly driving the price down because not many people want to try a car with that kind of history.

Keep hating, we'll keep winning.

It wasn't new it was a year old. He bought a 2007 model in 2007 with 13k on it. I bought a 2007 sebring in 2007 with 7k on it for about 12k. Now they aren't the same car but not that far off.

It still makes me laugh that Thad Gibson claims he is still making payments. Not saying it isnt true, but it is definitely laughable. Dude, you made a ton of money last year! Pay off your car loan

I think you are misunderstanding what WebFire was saying. Right now, a 2007 Chrysler 300 with 13000 miles has a resale value of $24000.

Maybe the car salesman was getting great rates from banks. Not crazy to think he would still be paying on it, if he had like a 3-4% rate. Not saying I buy this theory, but it would be one explanation.

Although I doubt Huntington was offering those rates on used cars, unless there were significant kickbacks.

kbb right now is 18,600 on excellent rated car at Suggested retail price. Private party is 16,650. The thing we don't know is if he traded something in for it...

That link takes me to kbb's homepage. Only thing I did was select "300C" as the model because I thought I remembered seeing that's what the car was. If its not right, my bad.
