Was Weis high?

I don't like Carrol, but come on man. This isn't high school. He always begged that no matter what fans and critics thought of him, they should leave his family out of any discussion. Then you go and try to open that can of worms.

If it was Charlie Wies's ambition to be a head coach again at any level he just killed it all by himself. He will always be able to find gainful employment in the Belichick coaching tree. But he just made himself persona non grata in the tightly connected football coaching community. Way to act like a petulant teenager Charlie.

I remember always hearing about how Classy Weis was. Lots of threads talking about what a classy guy he was because of the work he does for those in need. Sorry, but this points otherwise. Even if Petey is sleeping with a graduate student... why does Weis feel like it is his job to try to bring a man down to his level?

^^^^^What's this story have to do with me or any other ND fan? I can't control what he says and FWIW, Weis no longer represents the University.

BTW, this is old news, not saying Weis is right for bringing it up, especially after being canned by ND but it is what it is.

In Weis' defense, apparently this was said to a journalist off the record and he published it anyways.

It was said in a room full of reporters, why was Prister the only guy who published the quote?!

Any other school and both of you would have been all over it.....your program's coach this year and you ignore it.

Haha, oh...the classic "I'll tell YOU what you would do in situation X" post.

Lemme try: If a male prostitute propositioned you, you would willingly accept.

Wow, its so easy!

I'm still waiting for him to go after Ken Niumatololo, who he also couldn't beat on the field.

Or Dave Wannstedt.
Or Randy Edsall.
Or Jim Harbaugh.
Or Jeff Jagodzinski.
Or Greg Robinson.

I can't answer that, but can you answer me why only one person published it?

If he says it in a room full of reporters and 1 out of 100 publish it, it leads me to one conclusion: it was off the record

I agree he should have never said it, but it was a slimeball move on the reporter's part. I really have no reason to defend Weis.....just feel this is further proof of the media sucking ass these days.

Dude according to Rivals and ESPN, this was a sit down interview with Tim Prister, the head editor of Irishillustrated. I may in the dark here, but where did you see that it was in a room full of reporters?

Here ya go mooney, from the ESPN article:

Weis was speaking to five handpicked reporters in South Bend, Ind., at Hannah and Friends, the nonprofit organization founded by Weis and his wife Maura designed to help children and adults with special needs. Hannah is one of Weis' children.
