The GF got a present from her parents of a MacBook Pro and it was time to retire the old desktop (was going on 7 years which, for a $400 Dell from 2004 with one RAM upgrade, and one crappy flat panel monitor, is pretty impressive). Now we have the MBP, and an HDMI cord hooking up to a new 22" LCD. It will take me a little while to get used to the Apple - I have used them before for school but never as a home PC.

Any suggestions from other Mac users, other than I can now act like a pompous ass with my awesome new mac powers?

That image is obviously chopped. I'd have to see a better photo before purchasing. Anything will look better than that I have now. The outside case has been through its share of wear and tear.

Haters abound. Macs rule. I have a speck soft touch shell on my Macbook pro. Mac far better than any PC I have ever used!!

I'm not sold on Apple desktops, but their laptops are top notch.

For the price of their desktops you could build your own beast of a PC with better specs.
