Question here: Since Santana was running in foul territory, what would have happened had he kicked the ball? I'm assuming an inadvertant kick would've been a live ball but if he goes out of his way to kick it he's out?

Hmm.. Good question.

I think I'd have to try to look this one up to be 100% sure.

I'm thinking an accidental kick would have been either an out or called a dead ball with the runners staying where they're at with Santana awarded 1st.

Don't really know though.

Obviously kicking it on purpose would be an out.

I'm not 100% sure what they'd do if they ruled it to be inadvertent, but if they said he did it intentionally then he's out and the ball is dead so all runners would return to their bases.

Fausto was very good. Easily could have had a shut out, if not for the infield hit. Should be a good one tonight.

Go Tribe!

Good to see the Tribe has the ability to get it done late in games lately. They have proven they can get it done in the early innings earlier in the season. It seems like when they are behind or the game is on the line there is an extra sense of urgencey about the team and you just know they are going to get it done somehow.

In honor of Choo, I was hammered last night. Got to watch the last 5 innings, and what I can remember, Fausto was dealin. Tribe gets it done again.

That T-Shirt will be ordered within the week, after I get my paycheck, no questions asked.

I get paid tomorrow, and credit cards are phenomenal, thoguh I try not to use them for small purchases that really have no need for anything but debit lol.

OQB;759093 wrote:Sure it won't last all season, I just think that is the most overused excuse in baseball....the righties vs lefties and lefties vs righties..... These guys are major league hitters and can hit both, if it isn't broke why try to fix it?
Baseball is a game guaged on percentages. Batting averages, on base percentage, ERA. The infield shift employed by managers is based on percentages of where a batter hits the ball. There is no "lefty righty theory". It is a fact...based on real data over the course of decades...that lefties hit lefties worse than righties do and vice versa. Now accasionally, you will find an exception to the rule...but it is rare. Also....if there was not an advantage or disadvantage in who you face, why in the world would there be switch hitters?

Good thing the Tribe is on this winning streak, because KC is on their own 4 game winning streak.

Someone needs to post the Glittering Wahoo for last night's win. I can't do it off my phone and I won't be home for a while. We need to "cover all our bases" before tonight's game!

Great pitching matchup, hopefully Tomlin can be more efficient than his last start. He had been extremely efficient until then.

C'Mon now BRF, while you were in you matching Indians pajamas dreaming of the glory days of Indians baseball, I was up watching the comeback win and posted the glittering Wahoo.

Can't believe I went to bed last night when it was 1-0 in the 5th or 6th. Woke up to great news though. It is juts too hard to stay up until 1 and then wake up at 6:45 to drive an hour. Hopefully they keep it up tonight, and maybe make it a quick one!

WKNR posted an interesting question this afternoon...of the Tribe players, who continues to stay hot and who tapers off/comes down to Earth (hopefully nobody...finger crossed)?
