Stat of the day: The Indians are the 23rd team in the wild-card era to start a season by going 19-8 or better, and the fifth to do it in the AL Central. Of the previous 22, 15 made the playoffs

Not to pat myself on the back, but remember I said at the beginning that this team could compete in the Central this year :)

you also said the Cavs would be in the playoffs...just sayin :)

.500 ball gets us 87-75.

So, all we need to do is play 5 games over .500 and we win 90+ :)

Seriously though, I love Orlando Cabrera. He gives us that great veteran experience that Trot Nixon gave us in 2007, but he's actually good in all phases of the game.

And I love his interview he just had.. "Orlando, we know you said you thought this team had potential, but if we told you this team would be 20-8, what would you have said?"

Orlando - "I believe it"..

Pitching is the key. It is always the key. Hopefully the starters keep it going and the bullpen doesn't come back down to earth. I would like to see us pick up a right handed bat at 3B and a good veteran starter and maybe we can make a run.

I think Alex White is going to be a big time contributor on this team THIS year.

There is probably no way they would ever do anything with 3rd base. Hannahan is playing well which is the only reason we dont see Chisenhall up. Not to mention....Dolans wouldnt bring in anyone that makes over the league minimum..lol

I think whats even more impressive is that we have had 2 of our starters out of the rotation go to the DL...and we are still gettin quality starts by our starters!

That is key. Because our pitching depth is already being tested, yet we're still flying through. This is why I think Alex White is going to be a big contributor. He's definitely already the better short term option over Jenmar Gomez, and White also has a promising future.. So why not?

Yes sir. Manning said we may be playing for hours, making the joke that nobody will score. If someone scores, this game may last 1:45 and get me to bed at a decent time.

Another great baseball game tonight. Love watching these guys compete.

I'm well aware, I just don't want to wait. Hannahan is doing a great job, but with a real right handed threat at 3B this lineup becomes scary. If Chisenhall isn't going to be ready this year I would bring someone in. I know the Dolans think differently though.

It is impressive, but I'm not that high on Carrasco or Talbot. They are ok, average guys, but nothing to get excited about. I would rather bring in a veteran guy to go with Carmona, Masterson, Tomlin, and White.

Why do we need a right hander? Superman is hitting .500 against lefties this year and is leading the AL in that catagory!

Carrasco was always rated highly in terms of "stuff", so I would like to continue to see what he has. He's done a very good job so far.

Talbot is just a solid pitcher. Nothing special, but does the job.

Sure it won't last all season, I just think that is the most overused excuse in baseball....the righties vs lefties and lefties vs righties..... These guys are major league hitters and can hit both, if it isn't broke why try to fix it?
