If I have the time, I sit outside and talk to them. I appreciate their dedication, even if they're horribly misled.

If you guys have THAT hard a problem with them, just make sure that an American flag is displayed.

I hear that works.

They are not the same as all other religions, They can't take no for an answer and continue trying to push their beliefs on other people when not invited. They deprive their kids of the normal traditions of America.

As for thinking the other religions would be a cult if you had never been around organized religion before, I don't believe I would think that way. Other religions do not force you out if you question their beliefs, associate with people of other religions, work for the government or own an American flag. You need to ask yourself, how many other religions encourage you to beat your children in the back room if they can't keep quite during their weekly meetings.

I don't really like getting involved in religious topics because u think religion itself is dumb for the most part but this post right here is 100% qft. Jehovah is right up there with Mormonism as the most ridiculous religion out there. They don't even celebrate birthdays. Had a hs buddy who was a Jehovah and it was a complete joke.

Edit: also if Mooney is banging a Jehovah, then that girl is likely to be shunned lol.

I like how not celebrating birthdays, and not being allowed to own a flag are pure craziness. But not being allowed to eat meat on Fridays, and having to draw on your forehead with ashes are completely logical.

Not sure if you are responding directly to me, but believe me I think that is stupid as hell as well.

Not targeting you specifically, just this idea that some religions are so much more "out there" than others. Meanwhile, the majority of people follow a religion that claims a man put two of every species of animal on the planet in a boat.

or that you burn in hell forever and ever??? that is pretty "out there" in my book. as far as JW's i have more respect for them than i do most religions really. but i dislike organized religion. as far as hypocrites they are in all religions and especially with the abuse in the catholic religions i dont see how there is much difference in the criticism of the JW's
