They're good but makes "everything else just seem bad"? Don't think so. I'd say they're even a touch over-rated.

Paradise Lost -- "Draconian Times". While the group never got big (mainly due to seemingly changing their style on an album-by-album basis), this album (at least to me) is a superior counterpart to Metallica's "Black Album".

Yeah I thought he was an up and comer when that track was released. I have one of his mixtapes but its very meh. Brooklyn Girls is still pretty high on my Top 25 on iTunes....solid track.

His mixtapes are really hit and miss, partially because he's put out too many. His best ones are The Pink Lavalamp, Well Isn't This Awkward, My Brain is Alive, The L Word, It's Charles Hamilton, and Tafietu.

If you are going to give any of them a listen, you need to download The Pink Lavalamp. If Charles would have just used this for an initial album (he said he didn't want to put Brooklyn Girls on it so Interscope decided that they wouldn't release it as his first album) he probably wouldn't be in the position he is in now.
