An OSU student died in an elevator accident on campus and they eventually paid out a settlement to the kid's family. But yeah, just keeping beating a dead horse with this ND situation.

I just hope you got an accurate weather report before you headed back up to your ivory tower.....

If that was my job and if I was in charge of employees that the weather would affect, I certainly would.

I'm not ok with it but I'm also not sure what firing anyone would do to fix the problem. It was an accident, and a horrible one at that. Firing someone other than the person who stood at the bottom of the lift an told him he had to stay up (said person doesn't exist) would do nothing either.

The report can be found at president.nd.edu I believe. And some schools did move practice inside on that day. Notre Dame practiced inside the day before after determining it wasn't safe to practice outside, so to imply that they didn't know how to check the conditions or weren't checking conditions is wrong. The report also lays out pretty clearly how the conditions were monitored prior to practice and they were backed up with forensic evidence.

Look, I am trying to have a mature calm discussion, but if you ND fans want to just keep attacking me because of my opinion and experiences, then I guess you aren't the people to be discussing this with. Name when I have trolled ND? I am not an ND troll, I am honestly just discussing the situation college football aside.

I never said that he trolled you. Hell, I was responding to his comment and you decided to debate my response to him. Furthermore, you're the one who brought up trolling. I don't troll OSU. I just pointed out to Durkie that his school has some blood on it's hands in that department too so he can stop throwing stones. Then you come in and start with your opinions.....that we heard before.....on numerous occasions.

A tragic accident no question, the point I see attempting to be made here unsuccessfully is that in no other private sector, hell even government sector for that matter would no punishment to any individual or group of individuals be let to stand. That seems to be common sense. In any other incident similar, somebody is going down and hard.
