Really? What a waste. More flushing of money down the toilet in a as transparent-as-they-come vote pandering effort.

This quote (from WSJ) sums it up best:
""Another commission and task force isn't going to solve a problem that's been going on for a long time," said Sean Spicer, communications director for the Republican National Committee. "It's actual policies and action that achieve results, not speeches and a commission.""

Spicer gets it, but of course since the American public doesn't get it we get this fraud of a commission to manipulate the ignorant. On the other hand, another disappointing jobs report so I guess Obama had to go create some new govt work.

Only in that the same resources could be used to attempt to actually accomplish something real as opposed to the merely political.

^^^^....yes, from a newer drilling method called fracking, that has unleashed some previously unattainable sources. Unfortunately for BHO...environmentalists are opposed to such methods. Should be interesting to watch how he plays this to his base. In general, Obama has not been opposed to such, but that may change as the election draws near. I'm not opposed to a watchdog keeping an eye on wrongdoers, but it shouldn't be a substitute for energy policy or sold as a way to bring down gasoline prices.
Wow....what in the hell do you think a spokesman for the RNC is going to say?
There is no slander in the truth. It's just so Democratic Party-ish to blame things on the 'rich' and corporations. Really,....a fraud commission?...don't we have a watchdog already for gas gouging?

Another commission, eh? This gives the independents and fiscally conservative Democrats something to point to and say Barry is "doing something". Much like his Debt Commission, he won't pay any attention nor act on any of the findings if they go against his statist core beliefs.

More government to "solve" a problem that government can't -- and has no business trying to solve.

Honestly, he hasn't done a whole lot right since he's been in office, especially where domestic policy is concerned. Almost everything he's "accomplished" has been fueled by an effort to gain/wield political power. Even his so-called signature piece of legislation (health care). It's more about advancing the scope of government and government dependency than truly helping people or saving money (that one was laughable, anyway).

I agree with him from a fiscal and constitutional standpoint, and I thought GWB was more like Obama than many would care to admit.

"Asked by a member of the audience about prospects for advancements in clean energy, Obama predicted that, with time, prices of now-expensive devices such as electric cars would come down."

Obama must not know his history very well. Electric cars have been around since 1897 and cost between 1000-3000 dollars now 114 years later they cost between 30,000-45,000 dollars. :)

More political fluff and stupidity from the BHO Administration. Oil companies are easy targets. There's a shocker. Same old tried & true leftist BS. Predicable as hell and there will be more to come over the next 18 months.
