Alright, here is how it is--whether you agree or not.
The Lakers were the better team, but they had issues that we still don't understand. Internal issues, I mean it couldn't have been more obvious--you could see it on Phil's face, he knew they were done. Kobe can't do it himself anymore, to the point where no one can even argue that he can anymore. Gasol didn't give a shit the whole playoffs. Look up how many games they've played over the last few years, that takes a toll. And match ups were a huge issue. The Lakers can't handle ANY speed from a PG--Barea is fast as shit. When Kidd can guard Kobe with decent results then that helps Dallas matchup too. The Lakers have no one that can even begin to check Dirk.
It wasn't as impressive a sweep as it looks to most, IMO. Though I was very impressed and I give them credit for playing very well. If they play the Thunder next round, you won't be seeing the Mavs as the favorites anymore. The Thunder matchup with them MUCH better. And if they play the Heat, the Mavs are dicked. You can let your hatred for LeBron blind you, but the fact is, the Heat present matchup issues that are a nightmare for Dallas--more so than the other way around. The Heat bench isn't as bad as some think, people who still think they're "the worst in the league" are delusional. And the Big 3 took it upon themselves last game at the half and literally said the team will go as far as they take them--quit trying so hard to get everyone else going. And that's what they have to do, the problem with your line of thinking is they all CAN go for 20 when they want to. And they DON'T need to.
But this is all stupid discussion. I'm worried about game 5, I don't doubt the Celtics anymore. I learned my lesson. And I won't look past either a deeply talented Hawks team or the fake MVP led Bulls either--reason being is the way they can defend the paint. But the Heat can play any kind of game, and they are THE BEST defensive team in the league. Reason being, Joel Anthony is a stud (as jpake told everyone he would be), DWade is awesome when he wants to be, and LeBron is the best defender in the league. I have no problem is D-Howard taking that honor every year, but I give the edge to LeBron because of the way he can lock down anyone from the 1 to the 4 and in some cases the 5 spot. And Bosh can hold his own. Defense wins championships and the Heat have the best defense in the league AND two of the best individual players in the league. So we'll see, but don't tell me the Heat need help from the officials--that's just you not manning up and giving them the credit they deserve.
