Anyone use these products? I was skeptical, but my wife talked me into trying it. Did the 24 day challenge and lost 20 pounds. It is not a magic weight loss supplement, but rather works to give a person more energy and focus. I used to need a nap by 2 in the afternoon, on the products, i have energy all day and put up to 5 miles a day on my treadmill. It is based on lead and referrals and people can make decent money selling it, similar to Amway. I signed up as a distributor, to get 20% off my order.

my brother did it and lost about 17 pounds...he lost 8 pounds in the first week. he wasnt really fat either. he went from 180 to the low 160's.

I wonder the percentage of people that put the weight right back on as soon as they stop using it.

I have a couple of acquaintances that I know that have used Advocare. The biggest problem I have with the stuff, besides the cost that was already mentioned, they don't like to reveal ALL of their ingredients. I have a hard time putting some things in my body that I don't know what is in it.

They've spoke wonders of it. They become distributors, which is common with Advocare and other pyramid schemes. They can get it cheaper and make a buck or two off of others.

Not a spammer, if i was, i would have put my distributor website up you jackwagon. As was stated, it is a pricey, no one is denying that. It is not a scheme, schemes involve false statements and lies. I have never runs into a problem where it does not tell you everything that is in the product.

Lead and referrals and people can make decent money.....

Been approached over the years with many of these type of things, Vitamins, phone cards, mona vie juice, etc etc etc.

All based on the same pyramid, or I mean, MLM, setup.

Some make money from the top, but most get squashed down the way.

As for does it work? Probably for some people. Just like any other type of product out that that helps people.

Most recent people were hawking the Mona Vie juice. They were bragging about all the benefits. A former DI football player gave testimonial that the juice cured his ills that no doctors could ever do.

PYramids take on better fronts than what they used to. Ponzi started it as straight cash. Then came along a product front such as phone cards. The newest rash of these is health care products.

It may work....but the marketing that is used to hawk this stuff is a pyramid type of system. Most likely one can find a similiar product, that is cheaper, and doesnt pressure ya to sign up as a distributer and try to get you to sign up others below you as distributers as well.

Always leery of things such as this.

The health industry is flooded with these type of setups. I think the only difference between this and lets say a product you buy at health place is that these type of instances price their products so high and lure clients in with potential payouts/discounts for being a distributor and signing up others as well.

The product itself? It may be ok, as many products are but the business practice is such that makes alot of people uncomfortable.

I was approached a number of times about diff health care products such as this. The most latest was Mona Vie. The product itself was good, but they priced it so high (and hyped it high as well) and the only way people really could afford to do it for an extended period was to become a distributor and sign up people below you. They tout out testimonials that are not atypical of the product (Like when you see weight loss commercials...sally lost 45 pounds on product X but the small print will say on avg customers lose 5-10 lbs).

Why this happens in the health industry is because people will shell out cash to be thinner, or more healthy. I venture to say that MOST times what makes the person lose the weight isnt the product...but the motivation and mindset of the person to really start eating healthy and exercizing. The placebo effect is HUGE with weith loss products.


Just like those who lose weight on the over the counter stuff. Know a few people who lost weight that way.....and they will almost always say that they started to take it, eat healthy, exercise and lost weight. Well.....the pill may have given you the motivation..but it was the healthy eating and exercise that did it.

It definitely is a scheme. You buy the product, you lose weight. Once you stop buying the product you gain all the weight back and think wow my life was so much better with Advocare. So you go back and buy it for the next 10 years until you go into your doctor one day and he tells you that you have cancer from dieting supplements. You are a disgusting human being, and this sham that you are running will one day be revealed to the public.

so..its gives you more energy during the day? Im sure it is probably supposed to do something more than that..but if not you could just buy some caffeine pills and take them instead for like 8 bucks lol.

Working out.

Working out is the best way to regain and recharge your body.

If I dont work out.....I am tired, lethargic but get me in my routine and the energy goes way up.

As far as a product giving energy. Well....could get energy from many different products ....i could say I get energy from the doubleshot starbuck energy things but doesnt make it a good way to get myself energy to workout.

You can also get more energy by getting your diet right and getting the proper amount of sleep needed.

I did the 24 day challenge and lost about 20 pounds. The challenge starts with a 14 day organic cleanse (not one of those dumb things where you drink lemon juice and olive oil) and then 10 days of vitamin supplements. When I did the challenge I skipped their Spark product which is their energy drink you can use to replace coffee, pop, or regular energy drinks because I don't drink anything with caffeine, so I didn't need a replacement for caffeine. I also continued using the same Fish Oil supplements I had been using instead of buying them from Advocare. The cleanse only cost me about $90 that way, but you do your own food and you end up eating less, so during those 24 days I probably actually saved money.

Some of Advocare's products are crap (some of their nutrition bars and supplements have 30+ ingredients, half of which you can't pronounce). I did a lot of research before starting and talked with a doctor friend of mine, and everything in the cleanse was legit. One of the things I liked about Advocare was that they have been around for quite a while and they have a lot of unpaid pro athletes who endorse them. It's one thing to pay people to promote your product, it's another thing when they do it just because they believe in it and don't receive any compensation. Drew Breeze is now their official spokesperson and they were the title sponsor of a bowl game last year.

I found out about them through a friend from high school who found out about it from our football coach who had lost a ton of weight doing Advocare. I have a few other friends who did the cleanse as well and have continued to use Advocare products who have lost lots of weight. I just did the cleanse, lost 20lbs, and have continued to keep the weights off without using anymore Advocare product. I basically just used it as a kick start to eating healthy and living healthy. The stuff in the 24 day challenge isn't a diet pill or diet supplement. It's a combination of vitamins and nutrition supplements no different than the ones you'd buy at GNC. They just put them all together and give you a diet plan to follow along with it. You could certainly lose weight simply by following the diet plan, but you wouldn't lose as much without using the rest of the products with it.

Let's be clear though, your opening post did sound like a sales pitch like you were just waiting for someone to show interest so you could post the link to your site and make some money. I do have two friends who signed up as distributors to get the discount. One hasn't sold anything to anyone else, and the other has sold some stuff but just to his family because they wanted some products as well, so he isn't making money from it nor is he actively trying to sell it.

In my experience the 24 day challenge kit was a good system to boost a current weight loss plan or to kick start a new one. Based on the experience of others I know following an Advocare plan after the challenge can help people who aren't disciplined enough on their own to stick to a diet and who need a plan, and personally I think it's better than something like Metafast or Nutrisystem because you have more control over what you eat since there are no prepared meals to buy.

I did something similar that included a dietary regimen. It was called Isagenix. My boss bought me my first month of it. I kept on it for a few months. I dropped 55 lbs in about 3 months. 30 lbs were in the first month. I weighed 290 lbs when I started.

What can I say, i need a plan to stick to, at 5'4" I was up to 232 pounds. Advocare works for me, its not cheap, but I seen the other supplement thread, and i am sure it is comparable. One day i want to be able to take the performance elite products, but i have to shed the excess before i worry about bulking up. Im getting to old to worry about how I look, but i want to feel better. I have asthma, and tieing my shoes made me weez. Since being on the advocare stuff, even before the weight loss, i stopped weezing. Going to run a 5k next week, have never considered doing something like this even in my younger days, but I am trying new things.
