You're dead wrong. Obama's policies would have him being opposed by the same group opposing him now. On the other hand, you'd likely have the Democrats STILL calling everyone who opposed him racists, because he would be doing things they want done.

If Obama were a conservative president, the left would have campaigned against him as being an Uncle Tom (not really black). Since they're sensitive about racial matters, they're allowed to make racist comments about black people who don't agree with their politics.

There's a hot debate going on my facebook right now about just this issue. Somebody else (not me lol) commented that it wasn't a racial issue when McCain was looked into. So far, not one of the "Racials" have replied to that comment. That's very, VERY telling to me.

And I'm gonna start calling the race card people "Racials".

It's weird seeing Bachmann say something rational.

It's also weird to see someone blame Obama for the tax cut extension. And I don't mean blame him in that he signed it because he certainly did and he and his party could have not done so if they didn't want to. I mean blame as in she implied that he wanted the tax cuts to continue for the wealthy which is clearly untrue.

Other than that she came off quite well in the interview. I still don't think she'd be a good candidate but that definitely improves her image IMO.

As for Trump, I don't think he's pandering to anyone- I think those are his honest feelings on the issue, and when everyone else knows it's politically disastrous to be labeled a birther, Trump doesn't care.

So while I'm sure some has gone to defending lawsuits related to the topic to suggest that all of the money has gone towards that is simply untrue.

Touché BUT there's absolutely no doubt in my mind the BHO, the DNC, etc. have spent plenty to dodge the question.

Whether it's a penny or a couple mill, the fact that he's spent ANYTHING, including effort by even one staffer, to deflect from providing all the documents from his past tells me he is hiding something.

He hasn't released any of his transcripts or college work from several schools, along with the long form birth certificate. Why? Why keep putting people off instead of simply doing the easy thing and opening up the closed portion of his life? This makes no sense to me unless there's something he doesn't want found. I'm at the point I believe he was born in Hawaii but there's something else there (perhaps info on his father) he doesn't want out. Also, he doesn't want any of his college work opened up because it will show him to be a total LOON or it will raise questions about where he got scholarship money to attend these expensive schools, and it would open him up to all kinds of questions on whether he still believes that way.

Just a guess about our "most transparent" president in history.

The issue is larger than the money. It's the secrecy. A guy who talks about transparency in his campaign ironically (or not) is the least transparent president in history. He needs to release all the documents and records from his schooling (up to and including universities), his passport, and anything else that's being questioned. Just release it and show you're not hiding anything.

Would you have all candidates jump through your hoops to prove who they are? If so you're no better than all those other birther crazies out there.


How is this any different from those societies who demanded that people provide their "papers" to the authorities?

First, let me say that I am disappointed in the lack of transparency from the Obama administration. However, he's certainly not the least transparent president in history.

And second, even if he would release all of that it's not like any of this would stop because many of the people demanding to see them would cry that they're fake or somehow invalid. It's a lose/lose either way.

What in the hell would he be hiding anyway?
