Not sure if anyone can say a bad thing about the Reds thus far.

5 of their original 25-man roster on the DL and still rolling along.

Hopefully Phillips is okay though...

If Phillips is out for a few games, I'd be cool with Janish taking his spot and putting Renteria in at short..or vice versa, whichever one is more comfortable at the position. We'd be fine. Although Phillips has got off to a good start.

Last time we were 4-0, we never lost 1st place and won the world series in 4 games. I was 1 :D

Sounds like BP was just taken out for precautionary reasons.

Phillips take put as a precaution. Knock wind out himself on slide. #reds

I still don't understand BP's head first slide, he did a belly flop! The throw wasn't even close to being on line either. He needs to be smarter

Speaking of BP, anyone hear him on Jim Rome today? I thought he came off well.

Can't blame you, just went over where you were and didn't see you, figured you left.

Great start to the year. Much better than the first week last year.

I'm going tomorrow, too. It'll be much warmer so I'll stay the whole game. :)

Was always a fan of the Harangatang. Now I dont have the crush like ou always did though!
It was time for him to move on though and good the reds did what they did with him.

Guess we both have reason to follow the Padres. A kid I used to coach, Luebke who is a local kid, made the opening day roster for the Padres in the BP and hope he can make the rotation soon.

If Renteria can play 2B i would do that. I rather have the starter at SS, which is Janish, and a sub at 2B than having a sub at SS(Renteria) and a sub at second (Janish).

Why have two positions with a backup when ou can do it with just one? Even though Janish is a starter he would still be a out of position at second. i have always said that if you can play SS you can play any position though.

Looks like Cairo is Dusty's back up at 2B. I think Renteria would be fine at second though

Figured they would do that...but if they did do what SL mentioned I would still want Janish at SS and Rent at 2B.

Harang is in a great situation in San Diego. The park fits his pitching style well. Hope he has a great year!!
