I'd guess he avged right around 100 pitches per start.

Yes, Cueto averaged 100 and Volquez averaged 102.

Overworked? Ruined by Dusty?

How many times did Cueto pitch well over 100 pitches then have to get pulled the next start because his arm was fatigued and he was getting rocked?

In 2010? None. Nice try, though.

http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.cgi?id=cuetojo01&t=p&year=2010

The only thing that stands out is at the end of the season when he pitched 124, 101, then 49 after giving up 8 runs in 1.1 innings. But he pitched fine in the 101 pitch game right after the 124 pitch game.

Dusty didn't have anything to do with those injuries. It would be one thing if he drove them into the ground, but he didn't. Their avg. pitches per outing speaks for itself. At the end of the day, injuries happen

As for Chapman, the Reds have been extremely cautious with Chapman since they've had him. I think they had some sort of rule where he had a required amount of rest after each outing

Give COA some money or something so that he will leave his mom's basement for a couple of hours.

You said what? 91 games? How about a sig bet? They win under 90 or under I win, 91 or over you win. Sig remains until end of post season? If you'd like to make more stakes involving the playoffs I'm open.

this is true, but there are steps you can take to try and reduce them. Some of it pure chance, but I also think there's something to the Dusty Baker criticism.

Lets hope so, he's fun as hell to watch and an interesting story. I think the Reds success also depends on his performance.

I ask for proof showing Dusty contributed to Homer or Cueto being injured, I get 8 year old stats and articles regarding Kerry Wood and Mark Pryor. Thats some serious debatin' skills there.

They are taking steps to reduce them? They use pitch counts and usher most guys out of the game at 100 pitches. Baker has done nothing since he has been in Cincinnati to suggest he is a pitcher killer. He actually seems to be going out of his way to make sure that connotation goes away.

Chapman is a great pitcher and is important to the team, but let's be honest. Right now he is a 7th inning pitcher / lefty specialist. Massett is the setup man and Cordero is the closer. For now, our success probably has little to do with his performance. When he becomes a closer or a starter, I think we can then start tracing our success to his performance

They won 91 games last year. I said they'll win more so 92 or over I win, 91 or less you win.

Make it a sig and avatar bet through the postseason.

I find these terms agreeable. This will help keep my interest through the season when the Tribe have 32 wins in Aug.

Well I hope so as I think he's a good manager, and obviously hate to see a young kids career ruined by an idiot manager.

As for Chapman, early in the season I would agree, but I think they have bigger plans for him down the stretch. If he's not the setup man at least by mid to late july I'd be a little surprised.

Spend some of the season learning about your team. I find it extremely sad that you had never heard of Alex White or Drew Pomeranz

Really? You must believe the reds are going to win 100+ games this year.
