Based on tonight, some observations:

UNDERRATED
Bradley Beal
James McAdoo
Anthony Davis
Johnny O'Bryant

OVERRATED
Myck Kabongo
Marquis Teague
Austin Rivers

I know, it's an all star game, but that's just from watching the game the first time in real time. Will watch again and see if anything jumps out to me.

Bradley Beal was the best overall guard in the game...

I have a feeling come December/January you'll be singing a different tune in regards to Teague

I like Teague I just wasn't impressed with the PG's in this game. They hyped Teague and Kabongo and neither were comparable to what I saw from PG's in year's past.

I remember Ty Lawson, Derrick Rose, Brandon Jennings, Kemba Walker, etc...just seemed unimpressed TONIGHT.

Teague has dominated elsewhere so who knows...nor can we really doubt what happens when Calipari gets his hands on the best PG in a class...good results thus far...

I thought Scott played darn well, very excited to see him in Columbus.

Eh, watched up to the point it was 13-12...nothing hooked my attention. I had hoped to see what the third Plumlee looked like...but I was bored...so I watched NCIS on the DVR.

BTW, I didn't listen to the comments, but could have Jay Williams purposely not mentioned the UK kids leaving out of respect? Since they are still playing.

Agreed. He talked most of the other situations up with "best case scenarios" if everyone stayed, and even mentioned the lockout would contribute to it.

The 3 or 4 times he spoke of Kentucky, he basically acted like it was a given Knight and Jones were 100% gone.

Maybe they are saying they are leaving because of the JayZ situation...

It's definitely possible they are gone...both are possible lottery picks, so that makes sense.

Then he got into how Harrison Barnes had a good chance of staying because of how smart he is and his upbringing.

Do some research on Brandon Knight, Jay...that's all. Inconsistent delivery is all.

AZU...I don't disagree with what your saying about Williams last nite. But don't you believe there is some validity to his comments? Cal and UK are all about one and dones. How often does that happen at Duke or even UNC? I do think believe he was a bit bias...but again, he also would have something to back it up if pressed.

He kinds of reminds me of Mike Conley only with a better jumper. He is extremely fast and quick. Craft is going to have a battle on his hand for the starting point guard position.

They will both be on the floor at the same time quite a bit. Scott can fill it up if he wants and so can Craft. I don't think either would have a hard time playing off the ball, that would just bump bufford down to a SF and could create matchup problems on the defensive end. Matta has already talked about both of them playing at the same time.

That would be fantastic! Best of both worlds. Craft with his toughness and defense, Scott with his agility and offense. This could be Jamar Butler and Conley all over again. And I think Scott and Craft could make a better combo.

I love Craft's intensity, defense, and overall game, but "Filling it Up" is not something he is capable of doing.

Disagree. He's got a pretty good outside shot, very nice mid-range jumper, and can get to the basket. If he was asked to be an offensive focal point, I think he could be. I wouldn't be surprised if he shot 40-45% from the 3-point line next year. It's going to be very exciting having him and Scott on the floor together.

Thank you SE.

Craft hit so many cold blooded mid range jumpers at critical points in games year. He rarely looked for his shot. He knocked down his fair share of 3s at the beginning of the year, but he can create and make his own shot. He could definately be a major offensive scorer if he wanted to be, and he shot .377 from three as a freshman, not bad.

Defensively and rebounding he looked as good as you'd expect, and offensively I don't remember anything going through him down on the blocks so it's a wash there, though he had 6 pts.

I can certainly see Craft and Scott playing together, with Scott playing as a 2 in terms of focusing on scoring, but his passing ability is something that almost no other 2 in the Big 10 could touch him in, which will only help spread our offense around even more.

Or if he needed to be, and what's GREAT is that we don't need him to be and he doesn't want to be. We will have tons of people for him to pass to that have a ton of scoring ability.

I'm kinda sad I won't be at OSU next year to broadcast because I'd probably have more fun next year with a deeper roster than broadcasting this year with the same 7 players playing.

Exactly and with Thomas hogging all the shots next year I don't expect him to be. haha

Did you have a problem with Deshaun shooting too much this year? I didn't. He came into the game with the sole purpose of providing scoring relief.

I have no doubt that he will not shoot the ball everytime he touches it next year lol.

I do with some of the three's he's jacked up. I think he is the best in the post or facing up and getting to the hoop vs his guy. I'll take that all day, but only shoot the three if he is open, please.

I wasn't impressed with Amir Williams. Stood around too, much and didn't establish position for rebounds. Only saw him the first half and this was the first time. Not saying he won't play, but he has a ways to go.
