^^^^It's all about getting someone to vote FOR you. If 2 out of 10 are willing to do that, it's better than 10 out of 10 people thinking you are OK/good, but just aren't wild enough about you to take the time to vote. It's the same way in selling your music. The only thing that counts is how many people are willing to buy your albums or concert tickets.

It really doesn't matter, if in the eyes of the voters in general, you make gains. What matters is who you motivate to vote. Her performance was top shelf last week. I don't think she will last much longer unless she continues to hit home runs....don't think she has a 'core' of support.

You are right....it only matters how many people are willing to buy your albums and tickets in the music business. There are many, many singers out there with great voices but are not mainstream, or even have a record deal, but many freaks who have questionable abilities yet people snatch up their records.

Much of it is a crap shoot really. Right place, right time, right promotions, and knowing the right people and getting that one big break.

It is a cruel, cruel industry to where you can be absolutely great voice and talent yet no one would ever care to notice unless that one right break comes your way.

or just "accidently" do a sex tape and have it "accidently leaked" to the Press or TMZ and everyone will listen and watch you.

The Peabo Bryson Wanna Be should be the next to go but they'll keep him around for the gay-crybaby factor. How irritating is the Rod Stewart guy's voice? The Christopher Cross / Meatloaf hybrid is quirky but he'll make the judges regret they saved his fat ass eventually. The chick that does the bluesy growls would be even better (i.e. hotter) if she was drunk every week. Little Blake Sheldon & Miranda Lambert should just both run off and cut Country Duet Albums together and start making some real money.

He covers up his lack of talent with big performances. I was very happy he got the boot and thought the judge's save was completely unwarranted.

Thia showed her complete lack of depth last night. I was surprised she wasn't in the bottom three. I loved the performance of Haley on Tuesday. I think she has more overall appeal then Thia, or Namia.

Please tell me how you can cover a lack of talent with big performances? If he doesn't have any talent then how does he have a big performance? Casey has more talent than all of the other performers. He is an artist, where the others are performers. I would be willing to bet that if they were doing original work, he would be the only one with anything of substance. I like Paul for being "quirky". I don't think being compared to Rod Stewart is necessarily a bad thing. RS did sell a few albums. I've said from the beginning that the guys were much more talented than the girls this year and I still think that. The girsl that are left have all performed fairly well, but Pia is the only one that can consistently measure up to Casey, Paul and Country Boy.

Jacob and Paul will both be gone in a couple of weeks.
