Haley kicked ass

Haley was painful, as always. It's obvious the show knew she has been lacking, and with the last slot usually reserved for a powerful person, they gave her the nightcap, and had the judges gaga over her to pump her some votes.

I actually thought Hailey was pretty good, particularly when she got to the chorus. Steven Tyler was right, she sings sexy. There will be two voted off, Naima and Stefano should go IMO. Thia should also be on the chopping block. I am guessing she will be staring in High School Muscial 5 or whatever in the next year or so.

James is still my favorite with Pia a distant second.

Me, Candy, and Ronnie all liked Haley.

agreed with the bottom 2 and 3 you mention. I could see Haley really making a run at the top 5ish, she has it all, just needs to keep improving.

Disagree with the above...a lot of good performances. I liked the reggae take by Naima, and thought Casey was pretty good. Not liking Thia or Paul...and don't see what was so great with Lauren Alaina's performance. Jacob can sing....but I actually expected better. Haley hits a home run ...but is it enough and does she have enough support to survive TWO cuts tomorrow?

Hailey is probably my favorite girl left in the competition. Sure Pia is fun to look at, but it is the same old thing every week.

I thought Paul did a good job last night, again an artist who found their niche in the musical selection. I do wonder how he is still around, but some one must like him a lot.

I hope Naima and Casey exit tonight. I am tired of them already.

Pia is a one trick pony as well, if that's the way you want to look at it. I fully expect Scotty to do a Dr. Dre song next week...lol. Why would you go against what you're good at? That line of thinking doesn't make sense at all.

We shall see. Pia can, and will, step out of her ballad box and do something more catchy. They were required to sing Elton John songs. How exactly was she going to break out doing an Elton John song? They are all ballads. Whereas Scotty found the one song in 500 Elton John ever sang that was country.

I thought Scotty did pretty well the last two weeks, when you consider the themes were Elton John and Motown. The kid has a country career locked down already...not bad for 17 years old. Besides the kid's a baseball player, and a pretty good one at that. You gotta love that.....it's not that he's a lawn fairie or anything like that.

Yea, I like Scotty, maybe it's because I'm a country boy as well.

Naima was horrible....I hate when someone tries to fake the accent to sing reggae. That was the worst performance I have saw in AI history.

I'm fine with the 2 who were cut. I haven't cared for Naima at all. I didn't mind Thia but I am ok with her getting the boot.

I kinda like Naima..and Thia not at all. sooner or later they both were going to go. Probably Paul, Haley, or Stephano next.

Thia was maybe the best straight up singer behind Pia, but she was just too boring.

I was happy with both eliminations last night. I think somewhere Paul has some underground fan club. They are probably fans of the band Phish, but they seem to keep voting for him. Interestingly enough, after a few straight weeks in the bottom three, Haley didn't make it in that club last night. Did her performance this week raise her up a few notches in the eyes of the voters?
