I think he shot it there (3 secs left) because he was anticipating UNC fouling?

I thought the UNC player broke the plane on the inbounds play when he deflected the pass but they didn't show any re-plays of it from the side angle.

These refs should be done. The Washington coaching staff asked them to check the clock and they said "We already did."

They didnt say NO. Romar claimed they said, "we already checked." I agree with webfire, I dont think they asked. Now after the game and seeing the replays he is covering his coaching staff's asses.

Yeah, they pulled some Big East shit there at the end. I guess refs in the NCAA tournament also take off the last few seconds in important games with the lone exception being the Pitt/Butler game last night.

The officials were either incompetent or starstruck or both. Like Pitino said, they had ample time to check the replay during the timeout.
