My Android Twitter app (HTC Sense) also allows me to type before/after tweets.

The iPhone Twitter app allows you to quote a tweet, then type before or after. It doesn't let you type before/after a retweet though. If you're on a PC, just copy and paste the tweet, then respond to it.

What is the difference between a "retweet" and a "quote" then? When I "quote" a tweet and comment before/after it, it says "RT @person: Their comment"... that RT meant "retweet" I thought.

On UberSocial, it let's you pick from the old way(which let's you type) or the new way(which just straight RT's the tweet).

Where are you trying to do this from?
