I have been added to a list by @CantonMcKinley and @Football_Stark so that whenever I post (for instance, final scores during football season), it gets sent to the @CantonMcKinley/updates and @Football_Stark/touchdown lists. So if you go to http://www.twitter.com/CantonMcKinley/updates, all the Tweets of people that have been added to that "list" will appear on that page. @CantonMcKinley has been hogging it lately, but if you scroll down you will see mine and others' Tweets.

I believe you can also follow a list without following each person in it and you'll see all of their tweets as they come in. I've never used them but my @redsfacts account has been listed 15 times in various Reds based lists.

So can I make a list named "college football" and then add anyone I follow that is CFB related, then go to that list and see only their tweets? Would those tweets still show up in my timeline?

Im on a list (for nascar) and tried to set up a list, but couldnt figure it out. LOL

If you have added a person and are following them in addition to adding them to a list, yes those tweets would still show up in your timeline. If you don't want their tweets in your normal timeline, don't follow them and list them instead.

But yeah, Twitter is pretty much the shit and most people realize that if they use it for a bit.
It's fun to get comments back from celebrities/bands/whatever that you're into. Today while at work I got a tweet from Bas Rutten. Shit like that is cool.

I get ALL of my news/analysis/anecdotes faster by following the right people on twitter than by watching ESPN or scrolling around various sites.
Instead of going to all these places all of this stuff will come to me and I can look into what I want.

I've won $100 from Josh Cribbs, had a tweet read on ESPN, won tickets to a Cavs game and got a few free random t-shirts. Twitter is awesome if you know how to use it.
