How is this team going to improve over the offseason?
Who do we keep from this year's team?
Who do we go after in Free Agency?
Who do we Draft?

Ideally the only people still on the team next year would be Varejao, Hickson, Gibson, and Sessions. And ideally they would all be coming off of the bench. Eyenga can come back too, but he should probably be in the D-League at this point.
That isn't realistic though. The team will probably be largely unchanged. At least Anthony Parker should be gone.
Go after some combination of Irving/Kanter/Perry Jones/Barnes in the draft. End up with 2 of those guys and I'd be thrilled. I'd love to see them grab a guy like E'twaun Moore in round 2 if they don't get a wing in the first round.
And they'll improve simply based off of the fact that I don't think they could get any worse next year.

I think a lot of your questions about who stays/leaves will depend on the draft and what direction we go. My ideal picks for the first round would be Kyrie Irving and Enes Kanter. Irving, when healthy this year looked like the best player in college basketball. In a down draft he is the only one I could see becoming a top 10 guy. He is a Chris Paul clone IMO.
Enes Kanter simply because he's the most skilled big man worthy of a top 10 pick. My unscientific way of determining this pick was looking at who is projected to come out in 2012 and it looks like a surplus of SF/wing players. Presuming we'll have another lottery pick I think we could get a good SF in that draft but it appears to be lacking a good center.
As for a 2nd round I would like to get Chandler Parsons from Florida, a 6'9" SF, smart tough player who can hit an outside shot or drive to the hoop. He was SEC player of the year but only projecting to the 2nd. If Florida has a strong tourny run I could see his stock rising from the 2nd. Our second pick in the 2nd is a crap shoot since the 2nd round always provides some head scratchers. I'd go with a big man that is solid on defense, can score if needed but is good depth. I'd look at Keith Benson from Oakland.
Having a roster of:
PG - Irving/Sessions/Davis
SG - Harris/Gibson (Isn't Anthony Parker's contract up?)
SF - Parsons/Harangody/Eyenga (Joey Graham was a 1yr deal?)
PF - Hickson/Samuels/Benson
C - AV/Kanter/Erden
Definitely not a top team but it's a start to rebuilding a solid young team IMO.

Get Barnes and/or Irving and that will be a nice step in the right direction

Barnes has really turned it on lately. I wasn't very impressed early, but he is really showing some potential now.
As for the Cavs, they are in a fortunate situation where they can absolutely take the best available, instead of trying to fit a need. Whoever they get, they need to find 3 guys in this draft to build around. They have to be able to take advantage of the second round pick this year.

I would like us to keep Boobie, Hickson, Varajeo, and even Baron coming off of the bench can provide a good spark. Also would also like to see 2/4 of Gee, Harris, Eyenga, or Samuels return. All 4 of them show flashes of talent and always give great effort, but I'd prefer to see some more talented players in their spot. For the draft I'd feel satisfied if we got a consistent scorer like Irving or Barnes. And a big man (kanter). I trust the management will make the best of their opportunities.

What does everyone think about Derrick Williams? I really like his game but I'm not sure I'd take him over Irving. I also don't think that he'd fall to us at the 2nd pick either. Is there anyone that would take him with the potential #1 pick over guys like Irving and Barnes?

After tonight.....these are the two scenarios I want the Cavs to do in the draft
Derrick Williams from Arizona with the #1 pick, and then get Kemba Walker with the #8 pick
OR
Kyrie Irving with the #1 pick, and then get the best big man available with the #8 pick

I wasn't sold on anyone for the #1 pick prior to last night. It has to be Derrick Williams now. Freakish athlete, who can handle the ball, shoot outside and is still developing a back to the basket game.

Damn all the Cavs faithful are on the D. Williams bandwagon now. My FB feed was blownin up with fans wanting him in the draft.
I'd probably take him over Irving if given the choice. The comparison to Iguodala, but a better shooter, was dead on.

Iguodala? Who?
Williams is 6'8" and 240 lbs. Iguodala is 6'6" 207 lbs.
Not even close.

In what ways? Williams can shoot the three, but is a GREAT rebounder and plays in the paint more than the perimeter.
Iggy is a prototypical 2 guard.

How so?
Williams is a SF/PF hybrid that is extremely efficient. Iggy is a SF/SG hybrid that would prefer to dominate the ball, create shots for himself and others and shoots a poor percentage. Outside the are both dark skinned and went to college at Arizona, I fail to see the comparisons.

There's still talk of us revisiting the Rip Hamilton/1st rounder for our trade exception deal with the Pistons after the season. Could have 3 lottery picks.
Cue Dynasty spinning how this is a bad draft and the Cavs shouldn't do this.

I'll take Williams with our 1st, and then try to get Kawali Leonard from SDSU.

I'd say how they are both rather physical and can attack the basket and both well rounded players....as stated Williams is a better shooter.
I think he will be a star in the league if he finds the right team. Sorry Cleveland....thats not the place.

Leonard would be our 3rd best player. He's a beast, he's smooth, and he could be had in the 2nd round.

I still say you take Williams with the first pick and then get Kemba Walker with the 8th pick.
