I wouldn't worry too much about having the worst record. The worst team has only won the lottery like twice in the last 20 years.

Last time it happened was when the Cavs got Judas.

I'm not worried about it, would be nice to have the odds in our favor though

Correct that was the last time the team with the worst record got the #1 pick. Since then the 6th worst and 5th worst have each won twice, 9th worst once and 2nd worst once.

Cavs currently have the 2nd worst record and own the rights to the pick of the 6th worst team. So we're in a spot that 3 of the last 6 lottery winners were in :)

I thought I read the clippers are locked into the 8th worst record? Am I missing something?

Not really a surprise but worth noting that Derrick Williams declared for the draft today.

We would probably have to pull an "upset" with the Clippers pick but it would be amazing.

Seems a lot of the PGs are coming out..I'd rather us get Kanter, Williams, or Barnes with our first pick..then get whoever is left of Irving, Walker, or Knight

Barnes isn't coming out, or atleast he hasn't said he is.

You have to get your PG with the 1st pick imo.

I saw that some scouts have said that Williams is a "tweener" he doesnt have the speed or jumper to be a true 3 in the NBA. Hes not big enough to be a true 4. This worries me a little bit. I havent seen the kid play enough, this is just something that I saw

People said the same thing about Michael Beasley coming out. Also just saw that Barnes is officialy going back to UNC now. I think its a dumb move financially as I think he'd be a top 3 pick. Also hurts the talent in the lottery.

And Beasley was a BEAST this year for Minnesota.

Not looking good, I'd say the Cavs will be taking a Euro big man with their 2nd pick now. Has Terrence Jones decided yet?

That blows. Euro's have a huge failure rate lately.

I actually like Kanter. He can mix it up and get physical when he needs to. Unlike when we had Z.

Unless the Cavs get lucky in the lotto Kanter won't be there with the Clippers' pick.

And all of these lottery picks that were taken over the last 9 years have "been liked" as well:

2002
5-Nikoloz Tskitishvili

2003
2-Darko Miličić

2004
8-Rafael Araújo
11-Andris Biedriņš <<just because you've heard of him doesn't mean he's not garbage

2005
11-Fran Vázquez
12- Yaroslav Korolev

2006
10- Mouhamed Sene

2007
6-Yi Jianlian

The only ones who have panned out are Yao (sorta), Gallinari, and Bargani. Two #1's and a #6.

I'd much rather take an American.

depends on where in the lottery the clippers pick is. It could wind up being a high pick with the system.
