I'm just not high on Jonas V...
I'd rather have a guy who will on the Cavs THIS year growing with the team, not a guy who may not even join the team for two years.

I've now read, at RCF and through some tweets that it is the Bucks trading up for #7. Haven't seen details just some speculation

All I am going to say is that 99.9% of us cannot comment on either Kanter and Jonas, as we haven't seen enough of them to even make comments.
I am going to stick with what Grant and Gilbert select and back them 100%.

So the Kings sent out #7, Beno Udrih and received John Salmons and the #10? Didn't the Kings just have Salmons not too long ago? and wasn't he bad last year? And they go from looking for a pg to trading one away? They seem to have a glut of average wings, and just added another one.
Odds they take Jimmer w/ #10?
Chad Ford is updating that the Bobcats kept the #9 pick

Sac could trade that #10 pick for Tony Parker as well.

This draft got to be bittersweet for Cleveland. They get the #1 and #4 picks but many are saying how weak the draft is this year. Of course we really don't know until we see how the players pan out. Can you imagine if some of the big names in College would have came out and the Cavs selecting Harrison Barnes #1 and Jared Sullinger #4? That would have been scary!
I'm not so sure about Kyrie as a #1 pick. Yes it has become what you would call a 'point guard league' but other teams got very good point guards that would cancel him out in my opinion. It's not as if he is something teams never seen before. But then again who else do you take?

This is pretty much it, imo. I think Irving will be a "good" PG but do I think he'll be "superstar good" like a Rose or CP3? No...but like you said "who else do you take?" He is the best player in what looks like a very weak draft. If Harrison Barnes comes out, we probably aren't even uttering Irving's name.

I don't think I'd necessarily take Sullinger at #4 but Barnes would be my top pick.

Disregard the comments about the #7 pick. That ship has sailed...
NBA Trade Rumors: Cavaliers Want Tristan Thompson, Seek Third Lottery Pick
The Cleveland Cavaliers hold two picks in the top five for Thursday's NBA draft, but that isn't enough for the team that is really looking to improve.
ESPN's Chad Ford is reporting that the Cavaliers are now seeking a third lottery pick, with the Sacramento Kings (no. 7) and Detroit Pistons (no. 8) as the most likely targets.
Cleveland is expected to draft Kyrie Irving first overall and Lithuanian center Jonas Valanciunas at no. 4, so they' clearly feel that Thompson will be available if they trade back into the top 10 selections.
MUST READ: 9 Potential Biggest Trades on Draft Day
The Cavs would really like to land Derrick Williams in addition to Irving and Valanciunas, but that might not be possible if the T-Wolves are intent on keeping him.
Cleveland's massive $14.5 million trade exception from LeBron James' departure gives them a competitive advantage over others in trade talks, and they plan to use it wisely.
The Cavs can't get much worse than they showed last season, and if they're able to land three lottery selections on Thursday night, it could get a lot better very shortly for the team.

This has to mean that the Cavs are looking to move JJ. I have heard some rumors that he could bring in an unprotected 2012 pick
