Actually it wasn't played on their home ice. It was just played in the state of New Hampshire. Also Miami was the lowest #1 seed.

Congrats to Minnesota Duluth on taking out Yale and earning a Trip to the Frozen 4!!!!

UMD eliminated ECAC regular-season champion Union College 2-0 in the semifinals and then eliminated ECAC playoff champion Yale in the Regional Final.

Way to represent the WCHA!!!

would be lying if I didn't say I was scared of Denver. The Pioneers have given NoDak fits in the post season. Peter Mannino and his performance in the 2005 national title will forever be in my nightmares.

I agree but I believe this is the Siouxs year. I'll never forget the 05 game tied it up 1-1 then it was all down hill.

+1. Worst possible first round game. Nice reward for earning a seed. They would have been better off forfeiting their CCHA title game.

Well, after their performances in the CCHA semis I would have never guessed ND and Michigan would make the frozen four. Duluth and North Dakota have to be big favorites to reach the finals playing in front of big home crowds.
