You must have a bionic eye because I don't. I also think he'd have to be highly stupid, like a distance runner, to pose without a shirt on if he had needle tracks all over his arms. Just sayin...

Anyone doing Crossfit? Just started doing some of the workouts. Shit is pretty hardcore. Workouts don't look as strenuous on paper as they really are.

Anyhow, Crossfit advocates either the zone diet or the paleo, or the crown jewel of the paleo-zone diet. Ive been eating very clean for the last week so we'll see how it goes. I'm in pretty good shape now, 5'11 165 lbs prob < 8% bodyfat but those workouts kick my ass.

Was doing Crossfit for awhile and, yes, those workouts kick your ass.

What distance runner posed w.o a shirt and had track lines? I still question if somebody that old gets a build like that without using hormones.

None to my knowledge. They all look like Ethiopian famine victims with bloated "carb guts" to me.

Still wating for you to show these "track lines" on Mark Sisson's pic? And if you're talking about his forearms, those are freckles just like on his upper chest.

Pretty exciting this morning when I woke up. Just a little update.

Down 7 pounds from last Monday. This is day 11. I've also dropped an inch from my waist and my stomach. There has yet to be a day where I gained weight from the day before -- I've either sustained or dropped. Things are going great! Cheat day is probably tomorrow...I think a little ice cream on this one will satisfy a craving or two.

I'd highly doubt Mark Sisson is juiicing...it would go against pretty much everything he's about...it would also severly hurt his credability in this community.

This has fell clear back to page 3!

A little update to bring it back to the first page...I am down 10 pounds and am starting week 3. Pretty excited! I am pretty drained, I definitely need to up my bean intake (slow carbs). Other than that, things are good. I got two workouts in last week, I hope to continue getting the workouts in. I have found some nice recipes and can't wait to make some of these other treats.

Crossfit has a lot of tough workouts and I like a lot of what they do. But they still do some junk. Like their version of pull ups, not only do you look like a retard but they aren't as effective.

Bacon wrapped scallops for lunch on the company dime. I win.
Since being more strict last 4 weeks, down 5.2% weight and 5.7% body fat. I think that means I added almost one pound of muscle, amirite?

Agreed. I was down with the lifting portion but wouldn't sign up due to the running. I have no problem running sprints but that distance shit is a waste of my time.

I disagree about the running being a waste but we both agree that they have a lot of nice things and some less than good things about them.

Exactly WHAT part? This should be interesting with you having an agenda.

EDIT: The scented candles, etc was a bit strange but other than that?

Yes the scented candles was the biggest indicator that this guy is just putting content on his blog without any scientific evidence or peer reviewed research.

You are either credible or you aren't, and this guy blew it.

It's impossible to generalize this stuff to fit every person. However, a lot of the stuff on his list has cred. Look at the long-term effects of distance runners. Unless they do other forms of strength work, they generally become this way. The same goes for the diet. People who eat garbage and make up for it with only cardiovascular work are going to eventually have it catch up to them. 1, 2, 5 and 10 are very solid points.

My grandma. Not sure what the price is without the family discount, but I paid $2.00/lb for a half. It was an additional 50¢ for processing but my mom picked that up as part of our Christmas gift.
