St. John's pretty underwhelming, only up 28-24 on Rutgers at halftime. Rutgers isn't really even playing that well.

And in the final minutes, Rutgers is still right with St. John's. 60-58 with under two minutes.

Rutgers with the And 1, ties the game up at 60 with a free throw coming and under 1 minute to go.

St. John's up 1, just turned the ball over with 13.4 to go. Rutgers will have a chance.

Well, to call the officiating poor at the end of the game is a vast understatement. Holy shit.

That's a pretty good officiating crew too. But they should be suspended. They didn't even bother to look at it. The head official was halfway down the hallway already. That's sooooo piss poor.

SMH at those refs. To just stop officiating with 2 seconds left is completely unprofessional and inexcusable. And some of those no-calls down the stretch were awful as well.

Had to keep St. John's playing in the Garden a little longer. Way to swallow your whistles in the last minute fellas. Definitely should be some kind of punishment for this horseshit.

2 seconds? They stopped officiating with about 30 seconds.

Lavin was pretty accurate by calling the whole thing Keystone Kops-like.

If I'm the Big East officials I go down to the refs locker room and tell them they fucked up and they have to go officiate the rest of their game. The fact that they just sprinted off the court without even looking at it is a disgrace and an embarrassment.

sportsguy33 Bill Simmons

Final score: 65-63. In the words of Hank Kingsley, hey now. RT @menottiM the O/U for that game was 128.5. Holy conspiracy.
Wow.

^ Now that is pretty fucking interesting. I didn't get to watch the game but from everything I've seen/read the end of this game was up there with some the worst officiating of all time. Just terrible at the end there.

Haha, I can't believe the O/U was 128.5 and the final put it at 128. Icing on the cake for the ridiculous officiating.

To not even check the monitors was ridiculous. Rutgers would have had 1.7 secs and the ball.

So, since there was time left when that guy stepped out of bounds, would he get a tech for launching the ball into the air (maybe the stands, not sure where it landed)?

Oh it landed like 15 rows deep in the stands. Definitely should have been a tech. Of course there should have been time on the clock too.
