Forgot all about this site until recently, and have started using it again. Just created a Stone Temple Pilots station, and I'm pretty sure it's the 2nd best thing ever created, behind boobs.

Anyone else use this gem of a site? Nothing quite like 90's rock. Awesome.

And before anyone else can say it.

i was at a wedding reception once and the bride was upset cuz she wanted to hear I got a feeling by black eyed peas and the dj didnt have it. i typed it in to pandora and bingo..plugged my phone right into the amp..

yea that s what i was saying...but i think he did the wedding for like 400 bucks and it was his first one...he wasnt that good but it was my first outing w her family so just kept my mouth shut. the bride and groom were basically paying for their own wedding and were trying to save some cash. i honestly couldve done better w my laptop given about 3 days notice i bet

I had grooveshark for a while and it just froze up constantly so I got rid of it. Of course, I didn't pay for it...I got it off a third party site so that might have something to do with it.

I pay the $35 a year or whatever for the premium account. Worth it for the higher quality, no ads, and unlimited skips (6 per channel per hour, but since you can put 100 channels on there...).

I've been spending a lot of time tweaking stations with song seeds and thumb up/down a bunch of selections. I have a number of stations that are dialed in really well, but a few still seem to be all over the place. You have to be pretty disciplined about how you seed stations and what you thumbs up and down, and those that are a bit all over the place are probably why a few of my stations aren't very good.

My one fucking annoyance is Cold Play seems to pop-up on a bunch of stations ALL the time. They've got a couple of good songs, but I really don't like Cold Play, Pandora! How do you end-up with Cold Play on a heavy metal station, WTF Pandora?!? Nirvana is another one that seems to play on a bunch of stations and I like Nirvana even less (before the Nirvana fanboys get all up in arms, A LOT of Nirvana songs really fucking suck, they really do).

Grooveshark is um, free?

And the redid their interface so it's a lot smoother now.

I like that Grooveshark allows you to play exactly the song you want, and repeat it if you like. Of course they have the Pandora like radio function as well too.

Grooveshark is good when you want to play specific artists/bands.

Pandora is good if you like variety.

I like Pandora better though. Until they start playing someone who doesn't fit in my "Rappers Delight" station (old school rap, which is fun to listen to every once in a while).

You can use the radio feature in Grooveshark to get a very similar experience to what Pandora does.

The Pandora app on Android is fucking awful. Mine loves to pause for seemingly no reason at all.

Mine will freeze between songs for no reason. Full signal, won't load song.

True. I like Grooveshark better than Pandora for these reasons.
