So if both Oregon and Auburn get slaughtered by the NCAA eventually, does the title go to TCU?

It will just be vacated.

It would go to Ohio State. We know the winner of the SEC is the national champion, and Arkansas was the 2nd SEC team in the BCS, and we beat them, so therefore we'd be national champs.

I hate when people make a big deal about someone referring to their favorite team as "We." A lot of people do it, get over it.

I would think that it would be listed on Ebay by the NCAA and sold to the highest bidder.

Would still end up listed on Ebay, only difference would be that Pryor would be the seller and not the NCAA.

You could argue OSU was the best team in the country last year.

Yes fucker, we. I am a student of the Ohio State University. I am a fan of the Ohio State University. WE won the Sugar Bowl. Got a problem? Cry me a river, build me a bridge, and get over it.

Eh our offensive line wasn't quite good enough to say that. If our offensive line had any kind of consistency we beat Wisco and play for national championship.

For the amount of cash I gave tOSU I'm also allowed to say "we" bitch!!!

What has ESPN been saying about this? I've been a working fool the last few days I'm out of the loop.

No. The death penalty is specifically about repeat offending. Oregon doesn't have any other recent major violations. It doesn't matter how many checks the dude wrote (in your scenario), the penalty is going to cover all of them as one incident, so to speak.

NCAA wouldn't care. They don't have anything to do with the National Championship. That's all BCS.

So Oregon is the program to hit with major accusations? For some reason it doesn't seem like the backlash has been that bad and I figured there would be much more coming out than just the scouting service. Maybe its due to the coverage ESPN is spending on the NFL labor issue but it just seems like it isn't that big of a deal.

How is this for something big, Cam newton and his father were caught red handed with their hand in the cookie jar and sang like a bird.Son and father were both under investigation by NCAA and the government for fraud, money laundering and other crimes involving cash and illegal loans made to the father. They agreed to turn snitch and gave up their scouting service contacts and told everything that they knew about what was going on with other athletes that were associated with the service.Cam was granted immunity from charges as long as he and his father provided information to the government and that has led the investigation to Oregon where it is only a matter of days before they are outed along with auburn for violations.

The countdown begins!

Y! Sports: Tressel knew of Pryor memorabilia sale in April 2010, possible major NCAA violation http://tinyurl.com/498lqyf

Didn't see this coming.

Weird. Posted a thread about this at the exact same time you made this post.

Like I said on the other thread, right now the Yahoo story is just someone claiming they told Tressel.
