Anyone remotely following this team? For some reason they have 7 Ohio kids on their roster(it lists 6 but announcer during JMU-Miami game said 7) and arent doing too bad this season compared to recent years(other than 08-09). Sitting at 20-9 and probably wont get in the tournament unless they upset ODU in the CAA.

Julius Wells(Toledo Libbey)
Rayshawn Goins(Glenville/Cincy State)
AJ Davis(Cincy Harmony/Wyoming U.)
Humpty Hitchens(Chillicothe/Akron)
Devon Moore(Cols. Northland)
James Millen(Cin. Shroder/Cincy State)

Hitchens played for Akron last year and not sure why he is eligible to play this year. Something to do with his dad passing away?

yes, the ncaa granted him some sort of special eligibility because of it.

Had no idea they had that many Ohio players. They have a big game tonight hosting Old Dominion though.

The CAA is a solid conference. The top 6 teams are all good enough to win the conference tourney.

I believe they also have Trevon Flores who played at Eastmoor Academy up until his senior year.

There is the mysterious 7th player from Ohio. The roster says he is from Louisiana though. We will count him as an Ohio kid though.

See my post above, he transferred down to Louisiana and played with Greg Monroe his senior year.

There's been a pipeline to JM from Ohio for years.

Roster on their website only goes back to 06-07 and these group of players starting coming in at '08-'09 with Moore and Wells.

Don't forget Trevon Flores who transfered out of Ohio his senior year. As Robj mentioned, he played for Columbus Eastmoor

Devon Moore was a beast at Northland during Jared Sullingers freshman and sophomore year. I definitely thought he should have gone to a solid D-1 school.

Humpty Hitchens......took William Buford from a state championship as a senior for Chillicothe driving baseline to opposite 3 point line in 4 seconds passing for a buzzer-beating lay in by Ray Chambers.
