It surely is one of the lower hanging fruits as far as things that people can get addicted to that are harmful.

What if she asks if she's getting fat? Is it cheating if you say no? (I would not call lying to someone about where you're going 'cheating' even though it is deceptive and I think wrong.)

No, it's not cheating. Unless you physically insert part A into part B...it's not cheating.

So if I were to catch my wife doming some guy or taking it in the two, that's not cheating?

I think you can cheat without physical contact. Does phone sex count?

I think that would be A into B. (maybe C or D)

I almost said "part C" and "part D," but inevitably, someone wouldn't know what that meant.

Hell, what if I catch her webcoming with someone? That's not cheating, either?

I like how you said "webcoming" instead of "webcaming". Makes it sound even more filthy. :)

Heard a college student use that term in PetCo last week when I took my dog to training. Made me shudder.

Trust me. It's the greatest free/safe porn site on the interwebz. Howard Stern was even talking about it the other day. Check it out when you get home, thank me later. There is no beastiality or hamsters involved in any of it.

If a man or women masturbates while thinking of someone other than their partner, would that be the same as cheating? Some of you think it is wrong to look at someone else and think about sex with them or how hot they are because that could be cheating and I think that is normal human behavior.

I'm not saying it's not normal behavior.

I have never stated that it was cheating for others, with the exception of fat hobbit's example in which case he deceived. I have only responded that I would view it as me cheating.

Based on your definition, even if you were not watching porn but just happen to masterbate to get your rocks off you would be cheating. Do you consider self stimulation cheating?

**Note: my post differs from password in that my scenario does not necessarily involve thinking about another. The individual is trying to "relieve" themselves. Alternatively, maybe they are fantasizing about having sex with their spouse.

So would you say that it is normal for humans to think about cheating?

It is perfectly normal for humans to fantasize about what would grant them the most satisfaction in that moment. That includes fantasizing about cheating, yes.

A thought -

Porn is one-way and impersonal, and a lot of wives, including mine, don't mind it within an healthy marriage (for that matter, she enjoys it as well).

On the other hand, I think both of us would have major issues with either one of us engaging in cybersex/webcamming with another person - that's starting to establish channels of personal intimacy with another individual.

No, watching porn is not cheating. If I am on a diet and look into the bakery window did I go off my diet? I sat on my couch and watched a P90X commercial today, did I work out?

Watching porn is considered cheating by some?? Seems some are wound a little too tight, and I guarantee that there isn't one guy who has responded to this thread that hasn't(while married) looked at another woman and wondered "what if".

How about watching some homemade porn that you have of an ex girlfriend that you filmed together before you became involved with your current partner, would that be cheating or just fucked up if your current partner caught you?
