This move was made to make room for Chad Durbin? Didn't we have him like 10 years ago? Youth movement? More like bowel movement.

not happy with trading Aaron. I've always liked him and thought he was a solid pitcher. I have no idea who Lawson is or what he brings to the Tribe.

The depth in the minors at 2B and SS is pretty shallow beyond AAA. He adds to that some.

If I was a Mariner fan I wouldn't be too happy. They only received 4 players from the Cliff Lee trade and Lawson was one of them. I know if the Indians traded one of their aces for prospects and then traded one of them just months later I wouldn't be too happy.

My only hope with this trade is that our deals with Seattle tend to work out in our favor.

I thought that said Matt Lawton for a second. Needless to say it was one of the more exciting moments I've ever had as an Indians fan.

Lawson is a AA infielder with some fairly impressive stats. Since 2nd base rides on the broad shoulders of Kipnis alone, it seems the Tribe brass felt they might want to hedge their bets. The Mariners must be God when it comes to developing middle infielders...seems we've traded a lot of guys for their prospects there.

I'm not really a fan of trading Laffey though....might be this year's Franklin Gutierrez deal for the M's ..... but WTF does it matter for the Tribe this year.

At least they actually got prospects that they could trade to get a major league player.

Yeah, that Cliff Lee trade may have been the worst ever for us...and we have had some real stinkers.

The Laffey trade was a good move for the Tribe. Looks like this minor leaguer is a different hitter. I've never been overly impressed with Laffey. No real loss there

We got Carrasco in the Lee deal and we could trade him for a major leaguer. Really Knapp lives up to his potential along with Carrasco then the deal wouldn't be too bad since Donald seems to be a solid player.

Now the Victor trade...that one stunk.

I really hope the Indians standards for a 'solid' player haven't dropped quite THAT far yet.

Donald might be a solid utility guy. Carrasco might project out to a #3 starter. Lots of ifs and a maybe for a Cy Young winner. Bleah. Salary dump that made no baseball sense.

Okay wildcats is on crack. I found 8 dollar beer nights.

4/7, 4/21, 4/28, 6/16, 7/28, 8/18, 8/25 and 9/1.

None on Saturdays...but there are a ton of appearances by old WWF wrestlers for some reason, lol. Also some sweet bobbleheads.

Oh I'm not trying to argue it was a stupid call given that Lee had another year on his contract. Just trying to remain optimistic before the year starts and that optimism is yanked out from under me.

Also, I really think Carrasco will end up being a #1 or #2 in a year or two.

Chisenhall continues to hit the cover off the ball. Today he was 2-4 with a HR. He's hitting .467

I realize it's just spring training, but he's been impressive.

I havent followed much, but no matter how good he is, arent they planning on starting him in the minors and bringing him up in June? At least that is what I heard in December.

Wonder if the Indians will arbitrarily hold Chisenhall in the minors in order to slow his arbitration clock. I don't think I have ever heard an excuse as lame as Shapiro's was last season with Santana. He said something to the extent that a winning team needd a catcher who can speak fluent English. At the time of the comment, the Clippers were in first, while the Indians were in last

That's the plan. But I think it was said by someone from the front office that if the Nix and Donald struggled, that he could make the decision hard on them.

He hasn't played a single inning of AAA. I don't always agree with holding guys back but I can't blame them for this one. Unless Donald is out for a long time and the rest of the 3B candidates really suck then I'm ok with him starting him in AAA.

Yep, teams like that only come along once in a lifetime....and they still couldn't get it done against an inferior team. Still a lot of fun to watch though
