Cruiser, I have exited sectional mode, and entered district mode, that is of course what I meant, no bad grammar involved ;)

Archer from Olentangy Liberty (#2 ranked 189 central ohio wrestler and two time district qualifier) also could not wrestle sectionals due to a torn labrum that will require surgury.

Friday Night Fireworks!!!

Unfortunately, my brackets only show three 1st round matches (119, 135 and 215... must be my printer or something) but there is a rumor going around that there are, indeed, other matches.

Rumor has it that:

103: Straughter (RB) vs. Valenti (HD)
112: Chang (RB) vs. Jon "J-Bizzle" Bloss (FH)
119: Riley (MV) vs. Hunter (PC)
125: Brunner (PC) vs. Varazashvili (WK)
130: DiBenedetto (UA) vs. Nace (TV)
135: Kramer (BC) vs. Dawson (OO)
140: Austin (DJ) vs. Gill (HDav)
145: Corder (PN) vs. Funk (L)
152: Miller (M) vs. Goliver (DC)
152: Kowaleski (GC) vs. Strohschein (GL)
160: Hughes (GC) vs. Patrick (MF)
215: Taylor (M) vs. Mowery (DJ)
285: Fleming (OL) vs. McNabb (WC)
285: Gusan (WR) vs. Cousins (WN)

Allegedly, these matches are taking place. If they do, I'd love to see them. But, as it stands, there are only three first round matches I have seen that are real.

This is my first time coming to watch the Central district. I plan to come Saturday, and I would like to make it in time for the Semis at the very least. Does darby usually follow this time table http://www.baumspage.com/cedist/hi1/TimeTable.htm? I know at Fairfield they run the first round of consos on day 1, does Darby sometimes do this, or do they always run the first round of consos on day 2?

I'm 99% positive that Darby adheres to that schedule.

I'll say this... If they do not follow that schedule, it will be the first time in AT LEAST 5 years that they have not. Things at Darby run very, very smooth.

Friday: 1st round Champ, 2nd round champ
Saturday: 2 rounds of conso, then a split round of champ/conso, then going right into semi consos. Clear gym, return for finals!

Gonna be a couple of great days of wrestling!!!

Thanks good to know. It will be interesting to watch a new district tourney. I will have to give my comparison review between Darby and Fairfield after this weekend. It will be interesting to see if Darby's atmosphere compares to Fairfield's. If i find Fairfield to still be better, I promise i won't be as snobby as bucksman haha.

Hope you enjoy it like_that.
As Cruiser said it is very well run!
You might find it a little bit cramped compared to Fairfield.
The finals arent tight though when they pull out the other side of bleachers.

More than legit.
He's my pick to win 125.
If you can stay away from Stevens head and arm he is very beatable.
But thats a BIG IF!

Agreed.

Agreed. I heard he once hit it it in a match and got his opponent, a ref AND his coach in it, all in one motion!!! All three were decked, too, had the assistant ref been able to get down in time! (Please see the Officiating in Central Ohio thread for reference.)
