I've never been to East. Is there sufficient parking in the area?

I have heard that in addition to the school's parking lot, they will be using OSU East hospital's parking lots as well.

I see it a little different. 112Brady 4th ,125 Hutchens 1st, 130 Boswell 1st or 3rd, 135, Tullius has a shot at making the finals. He pinned Jolley at the cambridge tourament earlier this year. He was winning when he pinned him. Hwt. Presley 2nd or 3rd.

I will be rooting for the Canal Kids but they got some tough draws.

Brady/ Henderhott- Toss-up
Boswell/ Caserta- Not to many are hotter the Caserta this year.
Tullius/ Johnston- would have said Tullius befor injury but he did just loose to Gershom. Hope another week of practice knock off a little rust.
Pressley/ Eckroth- could make for a long saterday for the big man. The two I have coming out I got losing in the simi's.

Other key match I see on the first day

130 - Wohle/ Maupin- Wohle was up and got pinned the last time at Darby Duals
140 - Zoller/ Stone- This should be a good one winner could have a great shot at state. Could also be a preview of the go to match.
160 - Zang/ Kucera- Zang better bring his A game, This could be a trap match
171 - Walters/ Clarck- same as above
215 - Johnson/Stinemetz- Winner against Shuria
215 - Dolvin/ Redman- This weight is very deep
215 - Moray/ Shalosky- I hope all these guy ate wheaties
285 - seems like every match is a good one.

How do you not have Hutchens getting out? He will win this weight class.

I wasnt impressed the way Boyce wrestled at sectionals. Is he a wrestler who likes to wrestle on his feet or what? I just wasnt impressed that he didnt pin his guys all the way up to the finals and that he majored in the quarters and semis against not very good wrestlers, and also Baker is BIG for a 160 lb wrestler and he also is very good I see him beating Boyce and placing in the top four for states.

I see him losing to Sherer and Wilson.
Keep pulling for him. He is going to need it.

This is a strong weight forsure but it would be hard for me to say Hutchens wont get out with the partners he has to work with and his talent I think he makes it but like I said strong weight so we will see.

So you are predicting that Wilson will lose to Thompson in the quarters and then beat him in the 3rd place match?

Hutchens has beaten Sherer before and he has even beaten Smith from Kenston who is ranked 2nd in the state. (Was up by 5 when he pinned him at Marion Elgin). Hutchens will not need help to make it out of this district. You do know Thompson finished merely 7th at Elgin right?

They are on the same block practically next to each other, pretty short walk.

Hutchins is a beast!
I think he beats Scherer and wins the District setting him up for a deep run at State.
Brutal weight class. He will be battle tested.

well Boyce has 26 pins to his 40 and 3 record this year. Maybe he figured he had the finals match, why pin him? The wrestlers at Claymont were this year were tough actually! it will be interesting this weekend thats for sure. all i can say is Baker better bring his "A" game...Im sure Boyce will be bringing his.

I agree he does have a tough draw but looking at who he would have if he loses to Eckcroft in the quarters or Settles in the semis I think he is fine. He is one of the four best heavy weights in the district. The best 4 are Willis ,Eckroft, Pressley and Settles. All four of these wrestlers will make it out.

Tough? He wrestled wrestlers with losing records all the way up to the semis

Does the alternate get to take his place or is this simply a forfeit since he stepped on the scale?

Pressley and Settles both won so another rematch to go to the Final of the District should be a low score as the others have been.

Canal Winchester has 4 in the semis: Hutchins, Boswell, Hutchins & Pressley and sits 5th in the team standings I think. Pressley with another big win.....knocking off Eckroth in the quarters

Tournament has run smoothly so far.....guy who runs Medina computer is there I think. Bad things......P.A. is useless as NO ONE around me could hear ANY of the announcements.....tiny little auxiliary scoreboards. It sucks to only be able to see the score on 2 out of the 4 mats! Seating is very limited as they were only able to pull the bleachers approx 2/3 of the way out.

Brackets are updated......
