When is everyone starting their open mats up? Can we get a list going?

Groveport Madison... 5-6:30pm on Tuesday. These will begin 4 days prior to our Friday night tournament. And that will take place on the 8th, so open mats will start April 5th. There you have it.

Most programs give the rest of March to rest and reload. Open mats usually start the first week in April. I will likely go to Bishop Ready on Sundays and Groveport Madison on Tuesdays.

Bitter, you're correct. We (Ready) usually begin ours in April but due to our freestyle club and Palm Sunday/Easter Sunday (April 17 & 24), we'll begin ours May 1st.

I assume that all three of the Olentangy schools will open up their rooms at least once a week. I think the Westervilles do as well. Like I said, things will ramp up when April comes.

I am not going tonight. We have our banquet tonight. Hopefully, there will be some that are free and willing to hit this up.

Yes all are welcome I have been running them the last few weeks and the turnout has been great been 35-45 kids every week from 1st grade to 12th and we have it tonight we are at the Admin Building on Rathmell.point44;721510 wrote:is this open to anyone that wants to come?

We will have fliers for just about everything we can get our hands on; from camps to clinics to other open mats to clubs, to other open tournaments... Hope to see you then.
* I say just about because once a year the cleaning technicians strip and wax the floors and we are not allowed in the building. Also, we are trying (fingers crossed font on) to get something going in late June as far as a camp. But we'll see on that one...

Boardman High School every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 6:00 at the wrestling room.
Solon, OH- 4/13/11 through 7/20/11
Solon High School, 33600 Inwood Drive, Solon, OH 44139 commencing April 13th through and including July 20, 2011 from at 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Participation ranges between 100-200 wrestlers every wednesday. State placers, college wrestlers and even International level wrestlers attend.

The Central Distict Wrestling Coaches Association will now be hosting Open Mats every Wednesday, beginning this Wednesday, March 30th @ Hilliard Bradley High School, at 6:30pm. The CDWCA Open Mats will travel to a new site every month to keep all of Central Ohio to even travel constraints.
March 30th/ April = Hilliard Bradley (Every Wednesday, 6:30pm)
May = Big Walnut (555 S. Old 3C Hwy, Sunbury, 43074-9507) (Every Wednesday, 6:30pm)
June = New Albany (7600 Fodor Road, New Albany, 43054-8738) (Every Wednesday, 6:30pm)
July = TBD
