E-Book w/ Reader …

I have very poor reading skills and little time, I do read many articles and some books if given the time.

What I’m looking for is: E-Book w/ Reader ???? ….Something I can order books on line, download and computer can read to me and or I can follow along and the voice overlay reads. Something small where I can take as I travel or enjoy in my back yard. Cost does not matter as long as I can get the best books on line, book selection and a quality device with good voice clarity.

I have taken up the search again last week: Kindle, IPad, Sony, Nook any others I may have missed and any comments or suggestions?
Anyone have any of the devices ..pro and cons?

Mrs. FFT bought me a Kindle for Christmas. I can't say enough good things about it--it's a great device that reduces eye strain and dramatically increases the number of books I read. I'm a big fan.

I'm also a fan of the kindle. We compared the nook and the kindle and it was an easy decision to go with the kindle.

I got a pink leather cover with a built in light for Valentine's Day. Now I can read when he's sleeping. I love my Kindle.

Can any of the e-readers do that? I'm thinking maybe an mp3 player and some books on tape.

With Text-to-Speech, Kindle can read English-language content out loud to you.
Kindle can.

So the Kindle E Book has a voice overlay to read books.... Now big question is the book selection only limited to Kindle?
Are we talking Kindle 4G?

If you're relatively tech-savvy, you can convert any eBook to Kindle format. If you're not tech-savvy, you're limited to the millions of books Amazon has available. I haven't run into any issues with book selection, though I've no doubt that it can be an issue if you're looking for something in a very specific niche.
