I happened to catch this "Brow beating " last night. All I can say is Lawrence O'Donnell is everything that is bad about political commentators.He won't let Rep. Chaffetz answer questions and when Chaffetz tries to answer in context, O'Donnell puts words in his mouth. He then calls him a tax cheat for living in his office, just like many other elected officials who work in Washington.

Interesting interview. How much you want to bet one of the Congressman's staffers was checking up on that today?

As for O'Donnell's style, I didn't think it was any different than what I usually see from O'Reilly or Hannity. They are the pros when it comes to talking over someone they disagree with.

Anyone that has watched any of these announcers would quickly realize there is a major difference between all three (I will make it four as I will throw in Glenn Beck). Other than the fact they are employed at Fox, there are even major differences between Bill O., Hannity and Beck. The three are not one and the same. O'Reilly is much more liberal than the other two and often goes out of his way to heap praise to Obama. Hannity is probably the most partisan of the Fox trio. As CC noted above, when was the last time O'Donnell had a conservative on their air? O'Reilly has them on every night.

Oh, please, I'm surprised you didn't use the term "fair and balanced" to describe Bill. And you'll notice I used the word "act". We must all remember that neither O'Reilly, Maddow, O'Donnell, Hannity, Beck or Olbermann have any journalistic credentials whatsoever. They are entertainers. Their job is to be outrageous and garner the most viewers in their respective time slots. None of them, I repeat, none of them can make any claim at all of being journalists.

I agree with Joe Scarborough.

Yep, and guess what folks, Joe is on MSNBC.
He is really the only reason I watch that awful channel. Joe is truly a breath of fresh air.

I caught O'Donnell's show last night and I was surprised to see Ann Coulter on. They had a rather nice conversation about Chris Christie (her man for 2012) and it didn't degenerate into name-calling or nastiness. One of the few times I've been able to watch her for the entire interview.

And ptown is right about Scarborough. He is one of the best political voices on cable because he tells it like it is, regardless of party or dogma.

Can't agree more.

Although O'Reilly has calmed down a bit since Beck came to prominence. Probably because he didn't want to be associated with that sort of bat-shit insane conservatism. (Not implying being conservative is inherently insane, just Beck).
