Where did this popular belief that making a roster move is panicking? The Lakers are NOT assured of anything because of what they did LAST year.. point blank.
As of now, the Lakers would not beat Miami or Boston and possibly not SA. Ron Artest has turned into a cancer, he wants out of LA to go back to NY..
The Lakers window isn't exactly wide open either. Kobe isn't getting any younger, so they can't "just let this year play out"... They need to win and win as many as they can (championships) now...
