It's an ad damnum clause just for the purpose of filing the complaint. The plaintiff will make a demand on the defendant for much more money before it is all said and done. In civil litigation the plaintiff is required to include certain amount in order to get venue in a particular court. What's more, the defendant has the right to know how much money they could minimially be set to lose in the event of a default or adverse judgment.

He might experience some sort of Pavlovian response from years of watching porn/fantasizing, but without testosterone shots, it wouldn't 'do' anything to him. And even then, would you really want to get aroused if you don't have equipment to finish?

I would think that he would try to avoid all porn but in todays society we see it everywhere we turn.I hope that his friends don't decide to give him the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition while he is in the hospital to cheer him up because that would really ruin his day.
All the money in the world would not fix this guy,just think about the mental aspect of his situation.I know they didn't say if he was married but that would really drive you crazy not being able to enjoy sex with your wife and worry about her sleeping with someone she meets while out with friends.
