Growing up in New Albany I got to meet Mr. Wexner on a few occasions and he always seems like a genuine and nice individual. People in New Albany joke all the time about how Wexner owns everything there, but really he has done a lot for that community, a lot for OSU, and a lot for central Ohio.

By far the most influential man in Columbus, and quite honestly might be the most influential man at Ohio State. Obviously a very generous gift by a very generous man.

All OSU girls should be required to wear Victoria's Secret to class in honor of this generous gift.

Nice, if I were in his financial position I'd donate large amounts of money to causes I feel worthy as well. It's his money, he can do what he likes with it.

This is what I find so interesting. We hear all the time about people making large booster donations to the athletics programs at their alma matters, and while Wexner has donated significantly to OSU athletics, we really only hear about his donations on the academic side of things. In fact, you don't hear much about large donations being made to OSU unless they're on the academic side of things. I believe that now you must make a donation to the university, and not to the athletic department to get season tickets for football. Nice to see large donations being made to the actual university and not just a football team.

Well said! Not that OSU football isn't important, but it's good to see guys that value the right things and are giving money in hopes of making a difference to the whole world and future generations through the research that is conducted at the Med Center.

I hope to break this record by the time I retire. I'm giving $101,000,000(present value of course) whenever I get it. I couldn't think of a better place to place my money then in one of the greatest Universities to ever exist.

Anyone find it interesting that this gift was made after the shooting at Easton? Coincidence? I'm sure he has been planning on making the gift for some time but the timing of the announcement...

There are a lot of girls at OSU...I'm pretty sure there are a decent amount of 300+'s, you sure you wanna see them ALL in lingerie?

These sorts of donations take months to make happen. I'm sure that this announcement date had been planned for several weeks, long before the shooting. And if the date of the announcement changed it was likely only moved up a few days or a couple of weeks at most. This isn't the sort of thing that one can rush into.
