I don't know who implemented this idea into the Florida State offense, but it is quite possibly the dumbest thing that you could teach a team. Sure, your team may have the discipline not to move an inch when offsides occurs, but what happens when your quarterback goes down to an injury at the hands of the big guys that was allowed to run by untouched.
