Joey Votto leaves 2nd early and pitcher steps off to toss to 3rd and Votto just stops at SS, never moves a foot and allows the pitcher to tag him with zero effort of making the pitcher make a throw or a baseball play. He's a tremendous player but one of the worst base running players I've seen.

Was at Game 1 of the Yanks-BoSox double header today. Sox looked very tight, as did their fans in attendance. Just a complete choke job, and you can just see it in their players' demeanor (except Ellsbury, guy is a stud!) ...

Thank goodness for 14th inning home runs. Sox keep one game up with three to play in Baltimore. Just a disgusting past month and a half (from a Red Sox fan perspective) though. I FULLY expect a 3-0 bounce in the ALDS if they make it that far.

I feel like the Yankees won't bring their "A" game on purpose vs the Rays, so Boston might need to sweep to make the playoffs.
